What a nightmare of a journey this has been. I’m 59 years old and provided her and my boys with more than they could ever need. We moved into a second home that was close to our business when both our boys moved out, this was 7 years ago. She is 6 years younger than me if it matters. I thought we were such a good couple all through our marriage but around the time the boys had gone off to college and moved out her mom passed away. She was really close to her mom and my wife took care of her mom until she died of brain cancer. I was very supportive and encouraged her to live at her moms house during that time.

After her mom passed my wife decided to start yoga training class to become a teacher. She became extremely close to the other females in her class and my wife begun this “spiritual” journey, reading books from several gurus and retreats etc. I did support her but she gradually became condescending and judgmental of me. I’m a really grounded person that is comfortable of who I am. She became vegan and I seen a post on Reddit from her in a vegan group about how me eating meat is hurting her marriage.

I grew up on a farm, hunted wild game into my 20s for substanance. I’m a ex-bodybuilder who still lifts regularly. I’m a creature of habit. It’s all just become too much of a battle with her and I’m exhausted. We went 6 months without any intamacy, because she thinks I’m a bad person. I’ve never treated her bad, sure over 30 years we had a few arguments but nothing that bad.

I’ve watched her engagement with other male friends of hers that are into the yoga, spiritual life and she interacts more loving and engaged than any conversation we have had in the recent years. She’s wanting to travel alone, go on month long spiritual retreats etc.

I just want to feel appreciated for what I bring to the table as a strong, healthy and grounded man. I’ve felt so alone over the last several years, and I finally just broke. I packed my shit loaded up my truck and moved out.

Just ranting here. My head is just reeling over it all. The emotional and financial fallout is going to suck really bad.
