Anecdotally, a lot of what is labeled "misogyny" is, in reality, just an accurate description of women's behavior.

Men are routinely brow-beaten for the actions of a tiny percentage of men. This is considered acceptable and is even celebrated.

But, when someone describes the use of manipulation, spreading of harmful rumors, or lack of accountability that women widely exhibit, they are immediately called a misogynist. It shuts down the conversation and prevents women from having to confront themselves.

The whole "woke men need to take responsibility" thing never 100% jived with me because chances are the type of men that perpetuate misogynistic attack on women never really listen to the "woke" men to begin with.

Last several times I did call out misogynistic men, I got called a cuck and a beta bitch, then they proceeded to do what they were doing.

That's not to say I won't call out misogynistic men and their behaviors when I do see it. But the whole notion that this works in any meaningful way is in my opinion really misguided.

Some thoughts...

Get the sense that at least for some, what is termed 'toxic masculinity' and the term 'masculinity' are exactly the same.

There is a power in the masculine that is not negative. And typing this sentence, I realise that some would find even this statement oppressive. Sad really, this culture, this society. It's really gone off track- both the feminine and masculine mysteries are routinely derided, in different ways.

There are people who take responsibility for the actions of murderers and rapists. They're called "the police." As a man, it's not my job to find and punish murderers and rapists. I'm not fucking Batman!

In the past, when young men realized that feminism was a scam and male privilege wasn't real, those men turned to MRAs and supported gender equality. Feminism killed that and told men that they would never be allowed to have equality. So now young men are turning to guys like Andrew Tate. What did feminists expect? Feminists told young men that men are not allowed to have equality, and men listened.

I also remember feminists everywhere lying about Elliot Rodger being an MRA and when you asked for evidence they never had any, yet continued insisting it anyway. And it wasn't just Rodger, feminists would point to any misogynistic man and call him an MRA because feminists desperately wanted an excuse to fight against an actual egalitarian movement. Roosh V was anti-MRA yet feminists would use him as an example of MRAs hating women. /r/TheRedPill was mostly anti-MRA and feminists did the same with that. Sadly it worked, most people today think that MRAs are misogynists, and if you ask them for evidence they don't have any yet still believe it. I recently had somebody insist that Andrew Tate is an MRA and he proves that MRAs hate women. I pointed out that Tate is not an MRA but it didn't matter, people just want an excuse to hate a movement that actually promotes real equality.

I for one am glad that modern feminism is being exposed for the hateful ideology that it's always been for the last 10 years.

I grew up surrounded by this. My Overton window was shifted to accept this, but even then, nothing I've seen from feminists has been able to adequately justify itself, the same way other ideologies have.

Now I'm older and wiser, I still think equality between sexes is a fundamental necessity that has work needed to be done towards it, but I can sure as hell see the modern feminists aren't the ones who will bring equality. In fact, they seem like they will bring further injustice, because they refuse to admit it's not a pissing contest, and that men have it better in some ways, and women have it better in other ways. Actual egalitarianism means abolishing advantages going both ways, while they want their privileges and make men suffer further.

Ah yes, original sin and collective guilt / blame..
Because if I am living in New Zealand and a woman is raped in the USA or UK I, as a man am responsible for not stopping it..

It amazes me that they fail to grasp that the constant demonizing, vilifying and generalizing of all men as "Part of the problem" is not working and is in fact radicalizing men further and further away from wanting to help women.

Now, don't get me wrong.. I'm not completely apathetic to women's issues..
However, putting effort into women's issues feels like Sisyphus rolling the boulder up the hill..
No matter how much effort we put in.. the boulder will simply roll back down the hill and we get no where..

I just have to say the obvious that the feminist site listed is satire. I saw it years ago, but its based on a real idea in feminist circles. I was exposed to a more nuanced version of it, but some really do seem to think the average musclely guy at the gym is a potential rapist.

Misandry is a trauma response. It's not justified; it just is. Extending an once of compassion to misandrist goes a long way in my experience. I am not excusing abuse by females; but I am encouraging curiosity about misandrist attitudes held by non-abusive people.

Communities need to police their own members. "Woke" men do need to call out mysogynist assholes.

Yes, you can find terrible feminist takes on the Internet, wishing that men could be castrated. I just have never met someone who believed that in real life.
