I have been seeing a weird push recently for rejecting all masculinity from Male Advocacy Subreddits. Honestly, I find the notion that we must reject masculinity very discomforting and kind of ridiculous. Masculinity comes in all shapes and forms and there are characteristics that are often associated to men. Also a lot of these characteristics aren't even unique to people because it's present in other animals as well. I think there is a place for masculinity and it’s needed more than ever.

Masculinity has played a crucial role in why the world exists today. Look around you, a lot of the tools, toys, things, buildings, have all been built largely by men. Sure women might have invented some of those things but I bet most of them were still created by men. Masculinity is a good thing and we mustn't reject it. There are several forms of masculinity and that's a good thing too. So I do not wish to reject my masculinity.
