I always love the "it's not bodyshaming; it's a joke" juxtaposed with "if you are offended then your penis is small". It's always the ones who say something like this isn't bodyshaming who then go on to openly perpetuate bodyshaming, and the fact that they're so comfortable doing so is proof that it is considered way too acceptable.

Reminds me of when AOC mocked Stephen Miller's height (when there are IMO a million other things to mock him for that wouldn't be problematic, but she apparently saw his height as his biggest flaw) and then apologized by saying she didn't mean to offend men who were literally short, just that Miller was "spiritually short" while a lot of short people are actually "spiritually tall", quite literally going out of her way to say that she associates shortness with negativity while trying to spin it as empowering short people.

I could see the photo just being funny “cuz naked guy”, but such sculpture was porn in eons before cheap, widespread graphic art and cinema… and titillation about porn and nudity will always be a thing.

Regarding the statue’s phallus size, I mean, lots of guys are “growers not showers”, so kinda doesn’t mean much in itself. He’s out naked in the cold and sometimes rain, maybe snow after all. Watch what happens if a user calls a woman (presume celebrity/public figure, not just a rando civilian) ugly or even just.. not attractive. Probably massive downvotes, attacks on the user's presumed looks, maybe a ban. But it's so casual to go after men's appearance, narrowing in on specifics of what makes them ugly. And you'll just find users agreeing with each other, validating it.
