I see these once in a while. God it's so freaky how some men consider this a legitimate arrangement. It pisses me off too because housing is super hard to find and expensive where I live. Expecting maid services and or sex (it's usually sex based) in exchange for living arrangements is exploitation. Landlords can't do it, so why can some random creep with a room do it? It's almost worse because you don't have the same tenant protections.

I posted such an add in a local rants page and was told things like 'he can do whatever he wants' and 'at least it's out in the open'. Sure, getting into this situation isn't the smartest move on the woman's part but that's the fucking thing. Only the most destitute, vulnerable or naive women would take this deal. It should not even be an option.
