Sluts and players are not equivalent. Any woman, unless she's obscenely overweight, can be a slut. Any woman (let's say in the top 80% of attractiveness) has at least a few guys in her phone she could text at any time with "horny, come over?" and they'd jump at the chance. Most women don't want to fuck those guys, but they have the option. Only the top men have the equivalent opportunities. Only the most attractive, biggest, successful, charming guys have multiple girls they could text at any time to fuck. Your comment is based on a false premise; the vast majority of guys could never act like a slut because they never have the opportunity to fuck more than one girl in a short period of time. Being a player is an achievement of success, you rose above the rest. Being a slut is easy.

Well known fact in psychology: humans empathize more with similar humans. White Europeans empathize more with white Europeans, men empathize more with men, women empathize more with women. So it's no surprise that two friends of the same gender will empathize with each other circumstances and choices but judge a gender that seems foreign for making the same choices.

Finally, both genders are not more forgiving across the board of their own genders, only of their friends of the same genders. Women slut-shame other women; they talk shit about them for sleeping around to increase their own potential value (in relation). Men do the same thing, a lot of BP'd virtue-signallers will talk shit about players as 'womanizers' and 'chauvinists' as a virtue signal. They're trying to project value to potential mates by screaming "I'm not like that guy!" as loud as they can.

It's more like everyone wants to be a slut but no one wants the consequences of being a slut. No one wants to be judged for being a slut.

Men are fine with dating (fucking) sluts. They just don't want to have anything more than a short term relationship with a slut. They don't want to invest in or commit to sluts.

Women seem to be fine with dating and marrying womanizers. They like the fact that he's attractive, because he couldn't be a womanizer if he wasn't attractive. They don't like the fact that he most likely cheats on them. Most women put up with a womanizer's cheating, for a long time. (Women keep saying they absolutely do not want a high N man, do not want to date a high N man, eww gross, etc etc. I'm just not seeing that. Not wanting relationships with promiscuous women isn't shaming them. Men are shamed for not wanting to date them though , look at any /r/relationships post where a guy admits being uncomfortable after finding out about his partner's past promiscuity. They are called insecure, controlling, creepy, little boys, and a host of other names implying there is a problem with these men.

Another thing, regarding the stud/slut dichotomy, is that for men promiscuity is directly related to attractiveness. The men that women want tend to be high N because, well, women want them, men want to be like these guys because they want to be desirable to women too. However, this isn't the case with women. Studies have shown that it is less attractive women that tend to rack up high partner counts, high value women end up finding a high value guy to commit to them early and take themselves off the market so to speak.

seriously now, women's declarations do not reflect what women actually do or respond to. How many times do we have to say that? Because a girl says that she dislikes men who sleep around, this does not mean that she won't sleep with a womanizer (and enjoy herself). You say that women (or better "people") shouldn't be shamed for having very active sex lives and I agree as well! But who do you think they are fucking with? monogamous men? I highly doubt that.

Men on the other hand don't need any pampering and protection because they know that either a women calls them chauvinists or not, they will sleep with them anyway (I'd dare to bet even more likely if she call them names first - you know, because of shit-testing and stuff)

It essentially boils down to the ease at which different genders have access to such lifestyles. Generally because a lot of men are sexually inclined (best terms I can use ). Unless a woman is really unattractive most men (excluding religion and upbringing) will want to have sex with her . So essentially a woman has to do the bare minimum of agreeing to have sex and giving a dude attention in order to get some action (most of the time ). Whereas it's not the case like that with men. Men who are considered players often have very redeemable qualities like status, money agressiveness (the good kind) and this attracts a lot of women. A man who doesn't have these things will never be considered sexy to the average woman. So essentially a man has to do much more to get the same no of sexual partners compared to a woman. That's why it's frowned upon Because at any time a woman go to a club and find a dude willing to fuck her brains out (unless she's really unattractive and even that's relative) . There are a very small percentage of men who can go into a club and have that same success percentage

I dont "forgive" women for being promiscuous. But what is "promiscuous"? Having sex in a committed relationship isnt slutty. What is slutty is sleeping with men you're not exclusive with, and often times these women do it on first or second dates before it's been established. Personally, I couldnt care less what other women do (if you lead with sex, you're probably not offering much else). It does annoy me though in dating. A lot of men expect sex early on because of these women, and as a woman who hasnt slept around and who doesnt sleep with people outside of committed and exclusive relationships, I do feel dating in general has become shitty as a result of more women having less standards.

Now, the thing is, a lot of women mistakeningly think sex = empowerment. I do not equate casual sex with empowerment. I already know I can get sex easily. What's empowering for me is finding someone I want to commit to, and establishing my standards with them. And having them respect them.

Also - side note: I have zero respect for women who go for taken men. It automatically makes me dislike her. I actually forgive men more for going for taken women though. Not sure why? It's not fair I'll admit.

Anyway, point is - I judge male and female sluts equally harshly lol.

Im not certain if there is a cultural difference on how those terms are defined but i am given to understand that the problem with players and womanizers is that there is an exclusivity agreement that they have violated. Im given to understand that there isnt much of a stigma to men when they are in a polyamorous relationship or even just playing the field.
