more often than they admit and probably more often than they realize. we're wired to do nice things for cute girls, it is our nature.

some cute girls, I think, take this to be the normal state of things. she thinks: "that guy is carrying that heavy box for me because he's a nice person," and most of the time she's not technically wrong. that guy probably is a nice person and he's almost certainly not expecting sexual favors in return, that's ridiculous. but her cuteness definitely played a role in bringing out his niceness. that's not to say that a fat chick or a guy would never have favors done for them as well, they're just less likely to think it's the norm like cute girls often seem to. cute girls get that treatment more often than any other segment of society, in my opinion, and they normalize it.

on the flip side of that, I've heard cute girls say on numerous occasions that being leered at and followed is also the norm. the same way their cuteness will bring out nice guys' niceness, it can also bring out predatory guys' aggressiveness.

there's also no shortage of predatory women who use our tendency to be nice and giving to them to their advantage. they dangle the sexual carrot in hopes that we'll go the extra mile... carry that big box and unpack it, because they can. I don't know what the percent breakdown is, but there are more women like this than most chicks realize or are willing to believe. ask any guy and he's run into tons of them.

I don’t think all women consciously do it, but I do think most women do it to some extent or another, semi-/subconsciously. It’s hard for them not to, since there’s so much in our culture that models/encourages it—including the mere fact that men’s sexual desire for women is so obvious.

There’s a difference between this relatively tame, unconscious form of sexual manipulation and the more conscious, deliberate manipulation some women practice. I would say the latter type is pretty rare in its most extreme forms, but there are intermediaries. I used to know a good number of women who would go out to bars/clubs and with little/no money, knowing they could get men to pay for their drinks all night long. That’s not ubiquitous, but it’s also not uncommon. Then there’s the times I’ve seen women use flirtation and skin-showing to get better prices on things with negotiable prices or to get into clubs/VIP areas.

So, it definitely happens, but I think it’s something that women aren’t criticized for doing, so they aren’t that aware they’re being manipulative, or at least that there’s anything wrong with it.

Like I said in another thread,

Men will perceive women as "promising sex" just by virtue of our existence. Most women don't "bait and switch" on purpose, they just exist, with bodies, and clueless men make up the rest themselves.

That’s not to say that some women don’t use sexual manipulation on purpose, but I really don’t think it’s as common as guys perceive it to be.

I've met very very very few women like this.

Most women who are attractive enough to do this don't have to be actively manipulative to get guys to do things for them.

I've had guys go out of their way for me, buy me things, do me favors just by simply existing. or just plainly asking? you don't have to put on some femme fatale routine because men are just....easy.

I think guys underestimate just how thirsty other guys are and think women have to be actively manipulative in other to get things from guys when really just standing there with a vagina works.

I'm a middle aged RP guy. I had a FWB who would regularly have guys buy her expensive dinners. She had no intention of having sex with or dating these guys. Several times she called me to pick her up from a restaurant and take her home (a good meal always put her in the mood -- just not for the guy who paid).

I think it's more common in high school and college age women, because they're not taking men seriously at all. Women who take relationships and men seriously are less likely to be manipulative bitches.

These girls flirt just enough for boys to think they have a chance but when they make a move they are told that they only see them as friends.

This has happened to me once or twice with girls when I was younger. I don't flirt and I don't find flirting fun so it hasn't really happened again in a serious way and I generally ignore it if it does happen.

A lot, especially in middle and high school. I only offer that stuff to women I'm not attracted to or can easily disqualify myself from (such as lesbians), or someone who at least sends me pics for jerk material in exchange.

There was one time in class where we had to partner up for some big project and I was one of the smartie-pants kids and all of a sudden all the girls in the class tried to be my partner, including the hottest girl in the grade/school out-of-my-earshot offering to give me a kiss (before realizing what she said and not repeating it when I didn't hear it, I caught the "aftermath" and she seemed to be not happy with herself for having suggested it). I paired up with my male best friend instead.

They use tinder to get dinner dates (free meal) and ghosts after the second date

I've never used Tinder, but I have heard it pretty commonly from girls mouths themselves that they more or less know they can get free meals and free drinks without ever meaning to give the guy a real shot.

Never pay for women for any reason. It's a social tic from the old days when you had to demonstrate that you if she stay-at-home'd for you that you could take care of her. She can make her own money today.

I don't really run into it anymore, but I also know that women aren't attracted to me anyways so I don't give them the opportunity to pull that shit anyways.

All women, all the time, as long as there are men wanting them. It's so easy to do it that a lot of people do it without even trying or realizing they're doing it. I'd say it's the exception for a woman to make sure she isn't doing that, rather than the rule, and even when someone does make a conscious effort not to influence someone with their sexuality they find out that it doesn't work. The man will do things because of her whether she wants him to or not.

I think it's really quite rare for a woman to actively use her sexuality as a tool. Most of the time it's circumstantial (e.g. a guy is falling all over her and she has an opportunity to get something she wants out of him but won't sleep with him). I think it would take a great deal of sexual confidence, which is rare in women, and also a strong lack of empathy, which is also rare, for a woman to be the "vixen" archetype you're referring to.

In my personal life outside of work I very rarely had women do this, but I am not Chad and I am half a jew which means I am ugly. I've had it happen a couple of times at work tho primary with them wanting to go backstage to meet whoever. Since I done my job for so long and had one or two bad experiences with women it has no effect on me. Tho I do enjoy them showing off their cleavage to me and the attention but they always get a no from me even when they offer money.

M20, I have seen when I've flirted that the women will suddenly act very dainty. But the daintiness becomes so sudden that it feels unwarranted. Imo the reason they've done this is to gauge how attracted I really was towards them (to see whether I'll escalate even more). Because I've gotten that unwarranted/manipulative dainty vibe I tend to pull back. Funny enough it seems to appear true, because the daintiness goes away as I pull back.

I've had a case where my co-worker that knew I was in to her got suddenly touchy with me, when she was stealing tables from me (serving in a restaurant), called her out on it and she stopped being touchy.

I've jokingly-satirically chatted with a few women about them using their sexuality to get what they want (free drinks, food, etc) and they all have guiltily-laughingly addmitted to it.

All of them do that, just some do it almost overly, while most do covertly and usually not even aware of it.

Its part of being a women. There's a subconscious process that's constantly aware of male sexual interest. Its why less attractive women complain about being invisible and why older women fear the approach of their "last fuckable day".
