The topic of this post is summed up in the title. However, to expand a bit:

If a person gets behind the wheel of a car while drunk, the law views that you consented to performing that action, and thus, you are responsible for your actions.

However, when it comes to sex, that standard it apparently thrown out the window, stating that it's impossible to give consent when drunk.

My question to PPD is this - why are there different standards for consent, when comparing drunk driving to sex?
