Can a good personality transform the way you perceive a person's looks in a positive direction?

To what extent?

How powerful is this phenomenon?

Conversely, can an ugly/bland/negative personality transform the way you experience a person's looks in a negative direction?

There seems to be a complex and mysterious relationship between looks and personality.

To rephrase it:

Can a supermodel become uglier in your eyes somehow as you get to know her if her personality is bad?

Can a not-so-great-looking person become better-looking in your eyes somehow as you get to know them if their personality is great, or they're hilarious, or they're super-cool or something?

EDIT: I was thinking specifically of how you perceive someone's face, but I suppose that the phenomenon could be extended to the entire body.
