I could write at great length and quite positively about deliberate hormonal intervention as an effective tool, mentally and physically. I think the majority of people are uneducated or worse, deliberately miseducated about the effects of steroids, both anabolic and otherwise on people and their endocrine systems.

For a while I considered myself "redder than red" because I was cool with deliberate, smart, steroid use, while terpers fell prey to the naturalist fallacy, and espoused shallow moralized creeds about hard work and dedication while understanding next to nothing about the actual process of building a better body. I felt like Red Pill had fallen into the same trap as women had desiring a man to be a "natural" without strategy or thought, only with a focus on muscle instead of "alpha behaviors". What I came to realise was that most of the people who commented on TRP were exceptionally basic, with only a few exceptions, (GLO being the most obvious counter-example) and expecting them to have any meaningful insight into the endocrine system would be dumb.

I have a path all plotted out for eventually using a homebrew batch as a form of male hormonal birth control. Again, most people use AAS like idiots, but there's some really powerful stuff there if you are willing to put in the effort to understanding it.

Depends if your taking tren or standard test. I've stayed Natty so far because I didn't wanna fuck up my natural hormones early on, but as I approach 40 I have considered trt through my doctor.

If your young and not going through an doctor it's probably not worth it.

I'll be honest. I've thought about doing them. I work out a lot and I watch wrestling regularly. And while steroids aren't around for the most part nowadays (except for part timers like Lesnar, HHH, etc), it would be cool to look like some of those guys. Right now, Jinder Mahal is the most jacked of everyone on the roster, though he might be doing something to get by the test. I've heard the term SARMS used with him.

Then there are some of the Crusierweights who are smaller in scale but usually have better bodies then most of the main roster talent like Neville and Tony Nese.

Back in the 80s and early-mid 00s was when guys on steroids were at its peak and I think after Eddie Guerrero died, who just looked insane by the end of his life, health issues started adding up and at times he would seem very emotional and get into fights, including one where he tried to start a fight with Kurt Angle backstage by double legging him and people just confused at why Eddie would try something like that. My fear is any emotional issues that could come with it due to being on medication for depression and such and I really have that under control and I'm afraid of messing with that.

Upsides:

The confidence. God, the confidence. Going from low test to doing a cycle is a fucking miracle. The funny thing is you don't even notice it till you get off.
The libido. Mine was shit, not anymore, even after getting off.
Agree about the smell.
Gains, obviously.

Downsides:

The usual health risks which have to be monitored. Blood pressure and estrogen sides if you're lax with estrogen control. Roid rage too — it's a result of estrogen imbalance, not excess androgens. Liver if you take orals (I didn't). Having to monitor your lipid profiles, HCT and other health markers regularly (thank the gods for fish oil and low sugar diet). Low test afterwards (whatever, mine was shit to start with).
Once you feel it, you'd never want to go off. And it's not like MDMA when you get over it in a week and just resume normal life. Feeling like a demigod for months is not something to easily let go of.
Sticking needles in yourself multiple times a week. I don't care much, but it's definitely an inconvenience.
The whole legal situation.

The dating certainly, definitely gotten way better. Women were just so much responsive, it's fucking magic. Just stay away from tren in LTRs, lol.

No experience, but a few remarks.

Never taken them, thought about it though. Early hair loss trends in my dad's side of the family though so that'd be a concern, even if on my mum's side there's no hair loss at all, guess it depends on the genetic lottery which side i take after.

The other side is I have experience in my life seeing a family friend going through the health repercussions. The guy was jacked and enterring body building shows but had terrible mood swings, became a Jack ass of the highest order and has had to have operations since because he had seizurea. He's only 23.

Where I live in general though steroid use is rife. You can really tell the difference between natural and steroid gains.

Honestly I used to be so hype about the mental changes steroids make, but I haven't gone off in like 3 years so I don't remember the differences that much. Its hard to differentiate between the changes that have been made because of the actual hormone, or the changes developed from seeing myself in the mirror, or just my personal growth

Biggest changes I know of is that I straight up cannot handle disrespect, like I will follow you home if you flip me off or even make a face at me on the road. AAS will also make you drive like a madman and have some decent "road entitlement" so it happens more than you would think

I love all the shit people say about tren even though its bullshit, on gh15 people used to say shit like "bro animals will obey you, they smell that bull test running thru your veins" or all the shit about "tren pheromones". Even if its all bullshit the hype is helpful

My balls havent budged btw, thats all genetics. I got some back hair now, might have ended up with that anyway but it grew in faster than it would have

I have two concerns with any type of PED (assuming it's medically safe, which certain things seem to be):

If there's a dramatic change when I'm on it, there will be a dramatic change when I got off of it. Tons of NFL players (most of which are probably doing some sort of PED) shrink way down once they get out of the league. So I'd either have to keep doing it for decades or go through an awkward "back into a pumpkin" stage at some point.
If anyone finds out about it, it will almost certainly be viewed negatively. I don't want to deal with that, or deal with hiding it.

It's not all that difficult to get into noticeably good shape with nothing more than hard work and dedication, and you'd need that to get big on PEDs anyway.

I would never take them because I don't know anywhere close to enough about them. The closest thing I have as a resource is on something like r/steroids, because like other illegal drugs researchers have largely stopped testing them.

The potential gains are pretty unbelieveable, but TBH I'm also worried about the simple fact that there are guys on test who don't know how to train and so they STILL look like doughy shit. So even if no bad health effects happen to you you can still flush money and time down the toilet.

Thought about it but haven't gotten around to it yet. I live in Asia so it'd be easy enough to get professional medical advice, but I guess you have to live the same place for a longer period. And that has been a problem for me. Also kinda nervous that it'd harm my fertility or hurt my health in general.
