In my place, women have it better IMO.

Lot of "positive sexism" in professional places.

Lot of "positive sexism" in dating: only female advantaging part of matchism is kept.

Dating is not US style, you can't date, have sex, have other dates around, and then commit, no. Kiss = commitment by default.

Women's SMV is over valued by both men and women.

Women date higher in age, height and status.

Women branch swing a lot and cheat, but can be really violent if their man cheat.

Know lot of incel men, virgin at 30, live in parent's house....

Competition is very rude, lot of african immigrants that are tall and muscular, but have hardly any provider trait. While female african immigrant generally have lower SMV.

Good point: AA/BB and CC are not much implanted in the culture, women search for a good balance of alpha and beta trait to settle down early in life.

I don't think women have it easier across the board though. One important difference between men and women in dating: men bullshit to women more often than vice versa.

Men are trying to impress, and that often comes out in the form of bullshit: brags, negs, cringy attempts to be alpha, lies about looking for a relationship when they actually just wanna pump and dump, PUA routines etc etc.

As a straight man I'm thankful that women are at least honest with me in this aspect. The fact that I'm supposed to earn womens respect means that any respect I earn is legitimate.

If she's not that interested, nothing will happen. Simple. No girls ever lied to get me into bed, or fucked me and then told her friends I was a "slumpbuster" or something.

It depends much less on gender and much more on how hot you are. I honestly reckon it's roughly equal when you're talking about a man and woman of average attractiveness. The incel types on here fixate on the hot girls and think that's the experience of the average ones, just like how they think their own experiences as below average men represent average men.

They have it easier naturally, but they make it harder by being as selective as they are and doing so with lots of overlap in what they find attractive.

Also time is a much crueler master to women than men.

Women have it harder than me specifically.

Compared to men on average, it's probably harder for the average woman in a sense.

However, this reality is part of why the average women invests a lot of time into being able to attract a man and get his commitment, they don't have the luxury not to if they want to maximize their hypergamy as they should.

I would say that for the "average" woman (the one who is pretty much a working stiff who has achieved nothing that makes her stand out from the rest of the working stiffs on this planet either financially or artistically) things are way, way easier than it is for (average) men.

When we are talking about the very successful/high achieving or extremely talented, the situation is flipped. Cream of the crop men have it way, way easier than their female counterpart.

EDIT:

and it has nothing to do with the 80/20 rule. I think women just want someone either on their level or higher in terms of ambition, ability and achievements. Men on the other hand - even the most successful, influential men - are fine with a perfectly "normal" woman who hasn't set the world on fire. So high status men have no problem taking advantage of the opportunities presented to them regarding women, while high status women hold out for that special someone.

If high status men had the same standards as women for relationships every dot com billionaire would settle for nothing less than the reincarnation of Hedy Lamarr

I think both have things they have advantage and disadvantages, it's just in different areas. However, I am learning there are a lot of men out there that wish they were women. May be it is because they weren't raised with the concept of male pride, or don't yet have fully aligned themselves with their gender.

Overall, both have their advantages and disadvantages, and to try to make a determination over who has it "worse" overall is a pointless exercise in oppression olympics. I think it's fine if you have a political movement focused on the issues of one gender or the other, but to play these games of "stop talking about your issues because mine are more important" is harmful and unproductive.

Work (stem field) - women have it better

Incompetent female? Cover for her/help her.
Incompetent male? Excommunicate/ignore him.

Dating/Relationships - Depends what SES they are. On average, females have it easier, but make it harder on themselves.

Hobbies - Women have tend to have it harder because most of them are physical activities where most of them can't keep up / need to be treated differently than the men.

I don't really bother with thinking about who may or may not have it better than I do. I'm just trying to do me. I get that attractive people probably have it easier just finding someone but I see people of all kinds around me struggling with finding what they really want, whether that be raking up many notches or getting a real LTR. I don't weigh people's problems against my own before I acknowledge 'em as real. Individuals all have their own struggles. There are overall average differences in dating between men and women but I don't consider one easier than the other.

Depends whether you ask your rational mind or check your gut.

If you check your gut, women are always going to seem to have a harder life (unless you have a very unusual neurological configuration). Even if all the women on earth lived like Cleopatra and all men were naked slaves toiling in mines, our instinct is "women have it so hard, someone should cut them a break".

If you use logic, then obviously men are the under privileged ones. Fortunately for women, nobody uses logic, except for a tiny minority, and that tiny minority only uses logic sporadically, for a few minutes every week, max.
