What would things be like? What would be different?

Shortage of husbands and men for most women would force women to take on the role of seductresses. Some societal unrest as was the case when multiple wives were taken by wealthy landowning men and most men became bare branches with nothing to lose.

Men would have higher value. Women would see decrease in their value. Wealthy women would be able to sweep up most of the men while average women would struggle to have one husband.

Im a woman and I'd probably be poor at the bottom in this society. I'd probably kill myself, particularly as this society is dependent on extremely unequal material conditions, or become a part of the societal unrest (nothing to lose, no hope of having progenity, might as well die for a cause).

Such polyamorous relationships already exists. I could see myself in a casually committed relationship with a woman also seeing others but I'd never be in a serious relationship consisting of me, a woman and two other men, and I certainly wouldn't ever get children in such a configuration.

I don't think dating would change all that much, women might feel more empowered to chase after men. And I don't think people would find other things valuable. Attraction, chemistry, compatibility, those things would still be most important. Women unable to get husbands would be single (duh) and I'd say highly independent men and women would best serve polyamorous relationships.

More women would have babies. Population explosion. Because she has more resources and free time, plus the expectation that she'd give each man at least one baby. If she wants to pursue a career after spitting out the kids, she easily could, as she'd have a hubby who can stay home with them while the others work. Therefore she wouldn't worry so much about having to give up her career when she starts having kids, so she might start having them in her early 20s.

Women want Alpha but no Alpha shares his woman with other men.

Women would never do this because despite the nonsense the Red Pill spouts, they have, on average, more empathy than men. They would never look into their loved first husband's eyes and present him the second one. This is something the patriarchs in some Muslim countries, who do not give a shit about their wives, do.

Besides, if such a system was set up the husbands would start killing or at the very least beating up each other.
