I'm basically a libertarian. But I find that if you even have the temerity to point out that billions of people live in abject poverty, while a handful of people horde trillions, that particularly some Americans who identify as this just won't even entertain the concept and will call you a Commie.

In truth, I don't fit into groups. I'm suspicious of consensus and tribalism. I don't think I could ever identify as part of a group as I'd always be questioning some of its shibboleths.

The biggest issue with being a liberal, progressive type involves a lot with Islam. Even before I go into my points, I definitely feel I am either some cucked, Islamic sympathizer or I'm this bigoted Islamaphobe.

The issue I feel is sometimes, liberals will not be as critical of Islam, it's sexism, it's horrible beliefs on many different people and the Islamists who carry out terrible acts in the name of Islam. They say, oh, it's not what Islam's really about and it goes into this No True Scotsman territory.

On top of that, you have the Southern Poverty Law Centre, which for years was a respected organization on the left, got a lot of flack of adding Ayaan Hirsii Ali and Maajid Nawaz to a list of 15 people. On one hand, there should be outrage adding these two, both having suffered thanks to Islam, and one even still calling himself as a Muslim, but wants to be a reformer. On the other, I've not heard any call to remove the 13 others, because Islamophobia is a real thing, and people are discriminated against due to either being a Muslim or "looking Muslim", be they a different religion altogether, or ex-Muslims.

And don't get me started on calling ex-Muslims "Islamophobic". I guess being an atheist and hearing so many stories about people leaving their former faith and all the problems with that, and I hear the same thing from Ex-Muslims, and they know about the Quran but all of a sudden, they're hateful. I've seen people call the ex muslim sub on reddit a hate group, like, dude, really?

And then, yes, women should be able to wear a veil if they want, I hate Hijab/Burqua bans, I think they're stupid, but let's not pretend that every woman who wears one is doing it because they choose to do it. I feel the experiences of the women who can't choose to wear it are ignored for the better feel good story of those who do it for their own choice. And I feel even with this rant, some bigoted fuck is going to be like, yeah, fuck those Muslims. No. Fuck you. Islam is a religion and should be criticized like everything else. Muslims are people, just like me and you, and they may have far reaching beliefs and different beliefs then you think.

I am liberal and feminist but I also believe in freedom of speech including for offensive speech, and I think that PC culture has gone too far, and is becoming slightly thin skinned.

Also I think that manspreading and mansplaining are just things that annoying and self absorbed people do, I don't think it's a gendered issue. I've seen girls mansplain too.

I also think the democrat party has a lot of problems which are going to cost them elections if they don't fix how they are connected to the establishment.

Mostly red, but dislike the trp sub a lot due to the lack of fun. GLO is their saving grace in this regard. There is just too much seriousness, doom and gloom and negativity. I am convinced most of this aspect of trp has gone way past venting and is just stewing. Also, too much dogmatism.

i think the alt rights emphasis on jews is misplaced and they have bought the progressive, anglo-unitarian scapegoating of the jews for their policies (the role of the anglo unitarian left being understood by the DE) because they are fools, not because i dont want to be antisemitismed against. i used to buy the jew stuff too, then i learned more. i also think the alt-"right" is a misnomer becuae there is noo national socialism in the US, it is not an anglo american set of ideas, is in fact on the LEFT with all other collectivisms in the US and just makes no sense

I love self-improvement. I think that men and women alike should both strive to be the best that they can be. As such, i support RedPillers in teaching men to man up and take responsibility for their lives.

I also wish they would do it without the constant whining about women, and with a bit more unbiased view on it.

Flair color: I think we had a thread asking this recently, but a few topics where I tend to disagree with most Blues are that I think claiming that women in general have as high a sex drive as men is ridiculous, I think men are held to stricter and more damaging gender roles than women in the modern world, and I do think certain preferences and behaviors are biologically ingrained and can't just be chalked up to socialization.

Oh and I hate the idea that a wife doesn't "owe" her husband sex. Like, no, a husband shouldn't just be able to rape his wife and he should be understanding if she occasionally isn't in the mood, but being married means caring for the physical and emotional well-being of your partner and sex is a huge part of that for men. Don't like that, don't get married.

Politically, I'm liberal, but I'm in favor of gun rights and I have no problem with hunting or owning guns for self defense. I think identity politics have fractured the left to the point where I'm not sure it can ever be fixed. I think elitism is a huge problem on the left and until liberals stop treating working-class whites like ignorant rednecks who deserve to suffer they're not going to win another election, and they don't deserve to. I could go on...I have a lotttt of problems with American liberalism at the moment.

What I don't like about TRP:

--too much bitching about feminism

--too many men who won't do the work to improve

--too many men who won't accept that the best they will get is occasional sex and maybe a GF, because that's just the reality of the situation and the SMP as it is now

What I don't like about my political affiliations:

--too much doubling down on failed political strategies like pandering to minorities

--too much gloating right now over Trump's election. There's not much of a realization that Hillary lost this election because she couldn't keep Obama's coalition together. There's not nearly enough realization that the narrow state electoral victory is an aberration given current political realities. Trump lost the popular vote by 2.5 million. HE will not win reelection with results like this.

--there's too much demonizing of the alt right. The GOP establishment is old hat old news and they need to make way for new leadership. The old neocon/paleocon/warhawks are out; nationalists who will look out for the USA first and foremost are in. Gingrich/Christie/Priebus/Bush: Out. That's not a winning formula anymore; and the GOP isn't fully behind that.

I am a feminist and to me feminist has always meant strength. So having fellow feminists tell me I need a safe space, I am a constant victim of 'microaggressions' and need special snowflake trigger warnings makes my blood boil. I also hate how the fact that there are crybaby feminists like that makes it a lot harder for me to say I am a feminist and have a serious debate.

I lean left, in many cases substantially so, on most issues. I don't think moderate Democratic politicians in the U.S. play hardball enough with Republicans; right now we're essentially playing an honest game of Monopoly with a banker who cheats.

And this isn't a reductionist "they need to grow a pair!" argument. I fully understand the logic behind the Democratic strategy:

It seems wrong to put the goals of the party over what's best for the country, as Republicans are willing to do, and
"Hardball" tactics could easily turn off the more idealistic sections of the Democratic base; Republicans don't face the same possibility from their own flank.

I just think (1) is too short-sighted (if they give an inch and we jump on it because it's at least a step in the right direction, they'll take a mile) and (2) is a necessary risk when the other party is willing to brazenly undermine the fundamentals of the constitution (see Republicans' refusal to nominate their own "compromise" choice for a Supreme Court justice, simply because he was nominated by Obama).

They lack nuance, and deal with what only a Sith deals with. Things like hypergamy, the wall, BB, AWALT ect. are general observations and cautions. Plenty of beta males and 30+ women have fulfilling relationships, without cheating or divorce rape.

They focus too much on the evils of feminism and the woe of the modern beta male, and not enough on self improvement, which is what TRP was supposed to be about.

The subreddit is a mess. They do little to encourage quality content, and allow their sub to become little more than a place for people to vent about their struggles with women.

I think some who identify as BP do not have a very good grasp on why traditional values, roles, and cultural symbols still resonate with many Americans and how much resentment as evidenced by that other thread there is of feminism and people who identify that way and craft policy and direction based on vague crumbly feminist ideals I am not traditional or conservative myself but I live in a part of the country that is.

I also think it is super naive for people to think men are really ever going to like feminism and the whole SWJ campus culture makes it even less likeable. On a good day men will tolerate feminism provided the economy is going along. I feel like feminism kind of sold out to capitalism and to the upper middle classes promoting a lot of "you can have it all bullshit" that ended up alienting women and men.

A lot of "blue pillers" don't like to place the blame of sexism on any other party then men. They will see red pill women are manipulated, confused, and abused for example, instead of the sexists which they actually are.

Politically I am a radical leftist, and among radical leftists I hate the disdain they have for voting. Yes, voting isn't going to change the world, and you need revolutionary action to make any real change, sure. But at the same time, I find it irresponsible to just sit back and refuse to vote because it won't lead to your ideal result. Its effectively the equivalent of throwing a temper-tantrum and I find it obnoxious. Small amounts of change and progress can happen through political action, and your inaction just allows those much worse to gain power and sweep progress back.

I guess if you look at the left in general, I really hate how liberals are against gun rights, although that's just one of my complains that I have for liberals.

Blue isn't really a thing. It's hard to be 'blue' when blue really represents a rainbow of colours.

I only identify as feminist on this sub. It doesn't come up in my life much at all. It's just another 'ism' I largely agree with. Sometimes it goes too far, so I definitely don't agree with all of it.

I'm egalitarian in my thinking. I like open debate and allowing a diverse range of people to have a say.

I think there are women out there who have to be worn down pretty far before you can say, "aha! AWALT!". That being said, there aren't exactly an abundance of women who pull this off.

As for improvements, I'd say a diffusion of TRP ideas into "normal" language would massively improve viewership and acceptance of the ideas we've come to know as factual. Some effort in developing a language with which people can relate that doesn't take away from TRP could make life better, especially for the TRPer who has to conceal his beliefs from every warm body around him.

I think that having blue flair is silly; it reinforces the idea that there exists some coherent ideology "counter" to TRP, and that's just not true. There isn't a Blue Pill opposed to TRP. All there is is TRP, and a broad spectrum of normal people amused and aghast that redpillers actually exist.

Redpillers are already frequently confused and held back by over-categorical thinking. The current flair system only helps reinforce their delusions.

I identify as conservative and my basic politics are neo-liberal along the lines of what Milton Friedman or Thomas Sowell might advocate, but not that far. Get a bit of liquor into me and then I am anarcho-fascist.

Basically, there are two types of people: those who can self-govern and those who cannot. An ideal society would be Anarchy - not in the bomb-throwing, riot-running sense but in terms of a society based on freedom, choice and mutual respect without a "government" to tell us how to behave.

On the other hand, there are many people who cannot handle that responsibility and this is where my fascism streak comes in. These people need to be told when to get up in the morning, where to go, what to do.

It's not even a Blue-Red Pill thing it is just human nature. It is not Alpha or Beta, it is just human nature.

We have a prison system for the worst cases, but outside it is still a softer, smiley face prison for the rest of us who don't really need this shit.

I'm not Alt-Right but I do get along with what most of what they're saying. However I disagree with so called "Race realism" and rather I believe that culture/language are what causes racial stereotypes to emerge.

This isn't a view that anyone on the left or right are really adapting because for nearly 40 years now the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis has been incredibly taboo and controversial a position for anyone to uphold (it directly challenges all western epistemology including science itself).

The Marxists don't like me because in my view Language is more important than class or identity, the fascists don't like me because for them the English language and epistemology is mostly perfect for describing reality and everyone should assimilate their dialect to the Queens English.

My politics don't fit into a box just yet because there's no movement in this world currently advocating a return to virtue ethics, there will be soon though.
