Dislike about blue: I agree that RP takes their generalizations too far (and some of them are just straight-up wrong), but blues tend to swing too far the other way and refuse to accept any generalizations ever. It gets tedious.

Like about red: I like the idea of abundance mentality and think it's good for guys to have that. Too many men stay in shit relationships because they're worried they won't be able to find someone else.

Red pill: I dislike the occasional circlejerking that amounts to "girlz drool boyz rule." There's a lot of useful content, and I understand the logic behind erring on the side of too harsh of tone (tiptoeing around issues is less productive and eventually leads to watered-down content), but lazy appeals to the lowest common denominator are too frequent. It happens everywhere on reddit, but it's not curbed as much on TRP.

Blue Pill: I think many blue pillers want to see the best in people and place a high value on traditional morality (e.g. be honest, loyal, etc.) -- those are admirable qualities.

i disagree with TRPs descriptions of what womens lives and the consequences of their actions are like in reality. they are best when they are describing female NATURE, but not when they are describing female lives and the female experience of reality, teeters into male solipsism and apex fallacy and just world revenge fantasy

I really dislike the dogmatism, negativity, over seriousness and lack of fun out of most TRP except GLO. I wish there was a little more /misc style vulnerability, IE the kind displayed by goodlookingloser.com. I cannot handle the lack of fun.

I like how the blue pill often comes to what I consider "real" redpill conclusions without realizing it, especially when arguing with redpills themselves who IMO start with correct premise but don't actually follow them to their logical conclusions, which are more underwhelming and disappointing.

Blue: Some can help the red strawman the blue, just by being ignorant about dominant masculine and submissive feminine.

Red: Name one other modern philosophy where traditional feminine virtues aren't seen as a sign of mental illness or enslavement? Red also does a great job of starting a conversation, even if most are too scared to follow the facts to their natural conclusions. (It's so much less terrifying to be a pessimist. You don't need to ever worry about hope.)

A lot of blue pillers are unwilling to seriously admit that men have issues, or if they do they try to construe it into a narrative which is still harmful to women. For example thinking that feminine men are hated in society because of misogyny.

Red Pillers... um... are honest and blunt and don't care about societal standards.

Don't like about Red Pill (not r/theredpill necessarily): Way too many armchair theorists and keyboard warriors. Too many guys are forgetting that the map is not the territory. Not nearly enough action. Not nearly enough concrete results. Too many of us talk about how to live an effective rewarding life, instead of actually living that effective rewarding life.

Like about Blue Pill: At least among some PPDers here, they haven't lost their idealistic wonder. They're true believers. They have no idea about the social and sexual failures and rejections most men have to endure on a daily basis. And I'm glad that there are still some folk who "believe".

Dislike about trp:

1) Prescriptive side. While I generally believe in many of the observations of rpers (descriptive), much of the advice, a lot of the prescriptive side, is awful or lacking in nuance.

E.g. Beta advice such as focusing on career or going into male-heavy, low risk fields. That stuff doesn't get removed or argued against fast enough, because in all honesty it's practical. Most people are beta and like being that way. They like being safe.

It's just not objective. That shit will not get you with many women, which is the supposed purpose.

If you want to argue over how to "forget women, make money", it's fine. It's just objectively bad advice for hooking up with younger women. It's counterproductive because you end up in places with lots of males and few females.

2) TRP actually does seem to "hurt" a subset of males, but most rpers on ppd I've seen either deny this or ignore/keep mum about it. The heavy feelers are affected. It might not matter to spergier males like myself, but certain people have a hard time keeping facts and feelings separate. They read something and it makes them neurotic, not just in an academic way. IIRC, Xemnas, an infamous ppder here talked about how trp was driving him nuts.

Like about tbp:

More women than men.

Purple, but I guess I lean more blue (though certain of my favorite RPWis will argue that).

I feel like there are some naturally charismatic, good looking people in TBP who don't realize how easy they have it. Charm and good looks will take you far, in all aspects of life. And I think some of the judgment you see from that side comes from not being able to put themselves in anyone else's shoes.

As far as TRP, I'm assuming you don't want the generic "improve yourself" spiel, so I'll chose something different. I like that the sub eschews traditional PUA "trickery." I once saw a post about how to trick girls into thinking you're richer than you are, and the comments were negative towards that sort of tactic. I respect that.

What I dislike about the Red Pill (to an extent), is I never learned just how deceived and manipulated I was by women until after the fact. There were numerous events of their words and behavior that I often wondered about, but not too much because "all women are wholesome good girls who must be treated with respect."

It wasn't until years later from reading up on how women really operate, and the experiences of other men, that I was able to piece together the events that transpired in my own life and their implications. Reflecting on the tiniest social interactions soon gave way to bitter realizations and I'm left thinking, "I can't believe she/he/they did that in my fucking face and I didn't catch on." The Red Pill also revealed unattractive traits I was exhibiting and why I was part of the problem of said deception and manipulation.

With that said, the thing I like about Blue Pill men (particularly beta men), is they enjoy a form of bliss that comes with ignorance. They're unaware of how they're being deceived and manipulated, and haven't been constantly rejected or blatantly screwed over by women to the point of waking up. I've seen beta men actually get the girl, and I'm happy for their success without them having to know the truth.

Not to say I want to go back to the Blue Pill, but sometimes I envy the ignorance.

I love that Red Pill preaches self improvement. That is the mantra that I try to live by and I think it is the healthiest way to live.

I get annoyed at how many Blue Pill folks seem to distrust or even dislike traditional masculinity whenever it pops up instead of recognizing the really positive aspects of it. Unfortunately they have been conditioned to associate traditional masculinity with toxic masculinity, and the two are very different. I work hard to try and explain the difference.

A lot of the times the people on TRP come off as uneducated and easily impressionable. This whole Trump thing is one of them. Blindly following a cult like personality is sad and so not what TRP leans towards, yet many still go for it. Also, the whole marriage is hell camp. Although I agree people today are getting married without fully thinking through and analyzing their spouse.

TBP- Look, I respect their children. Their children are incredibly able and devotes. That says a lot about TBP.

Honestly though, they are good at finding the absurdity in some TRP guys although they seem to pick on MGTOW and Incels more than anything.

In my refusal to take a side out of pure principle, I'll just list not what I like and hate about both sides, but what I see as potential and disappointment:

Red Pill Pro: Taking our evolutionary instincts into account when dealing with social relationships is one axis of understanding that can and should be applied when mingling. It is undeniably a part of us, and strides should be made to understand and accommodate for these things to the extent that they actually factor in.

Red Pill Con: To use our evolutionary instincts to pigeonhole either gender into a series of expectations and otherwise develop a cynical, negative view of interpersonal relationships helps absolutely no one, not even yourself. Not only is it grossly insulting and often flat out wrong, it is toxic and ultimately self-fulfilling - complain about an impassable wedge between the genders, drive that wedge deeper.

Blue Pill Pro: If we assume that BP is the feminist side to this coin, then at the end of the day, the underlying ideology that informs BP is vastly preferable to the opposite; a world in which men and women can choose whatever they want to be and do not have to be held down by stereotypes, expectations, or other negative associations based on something that they didn't choose to be.

Blue Pill Con: Once again assuming the tie to feminism, the internet has forced feminism into the same inescapable hole that many other such things fall into - it's become dominated by soundbytes and easily digestible talking points perpetrated by the loudest, most obnoxious among its ranks, which creates inevitable resentment from otherwise mostly-moderate people...and ammo for extremists on the other side.
