Ive witnessed a number of situations when women attemted to join group consisting of almost exclusively men and the results were... interesting. In some cases it was classical white knighting, when everyone is going out of their way to help her with a clearly telegraphed intentions, in some - open hostility with a constant questioning of her competence, in some she became everyones best buddy, where most guys would be supportive and protective, but without a sign of sexual context; the only outcome I havent seen is her becoming an ordinary memeber of the group. Despite seeing this polarizing effect I never figured out what was the difference between those who ended up loved and those who ended up hated, even by the same group of men: it had no correlation with looks, with competence in the field of groups interest, even, to my big surprise, with the readiness to start conflicts, at least in my experience.

What are your observations on the topic? Whatare the reasons for different outcomes in your opinion? How is the situation different/similar with boys joining girls club?
