I see a lot of people advocating things along the lines of ''get a decent haircut'' or ''learn how to dress well'' to boost attractiveness.

I feel that this kind of advice is nothing more than feel-good platitudes if the person meets the minimum threshold in these departments, which, from my experiences and observations, the overwhelming majority of people do.

In my experience, bad hairstyles and poor choice in clothes can detract from someone's attractiveness, but the opposite will only boost attractiveness by a negligible margin.
