Some of us would rather hold out for good sex than shitty sex. Especially if all it is, is sex, it better be good. If it's an LTR, it's a bit different. You might not always want to get your rocks off, and just making your SO happy/bonding with your SO is enough.

Ugh. Sex is a big deal for plenty of women. Why do you think some of us are so protective of it?

Plenty of us aren't into casual sex and want an LTR. Why would we just give up our most valuable asset (in the beginning) very quickly?

Also, sex is important to a lot of women, as in wanting to be sexually fulfilled in a relationship, is something important to women. I'd wager it's nearly as important to women as is it to men.

Any pre-menopause, remotely normal looking woman can be sexually attractive to a man. Women however -because of how biologically wired we are, have much more difficulty reaching orgasm (this disparity is well documented). Basically we need the right kind of man, the right of looks/phenotypes for us to be attracted (and thus have any chance of actually enjoying it). And because evolution is not perfect but simply "functional", very few males actually fit the bill, unfortunately.

Men have it so much easier it's not even funny.

Like it was said before: men may have more trouble finding any partners, but women have more trouble than men in finding a good, attractive partner. Men come out advantaged overall in this case.

Points 1 and 2 are essentially the same thing, and they both hold true. But, there are many man out there willing to fill a woman's desires does not prove anything. Men go for quantity, while women go for quality. This is buried to our DNA.

A woman knows that if she goes out and pick a random dude, it is almost guaranteed that the "night" will not be fulfilling, and she will most probably regret the decision afterwards.

It is hard for both genders to find a good partner who would connect to and have a good time.

I'm not going to try to disprove your point that women can always find sex because I absolutely agree with that, but I do want to add some caveats. Everyone can relatively easily find sex. If you're a man, go on a dating website. The are hundreds of women you never have to see in real life until you have a meaningful connection. If you're a woman, you're probably not just looking for sex. You're probably looking for meaningful sex with a trustworthy and serious partner. Yeah, any sex is probably okay (with someone you don't worry about giving you HIV), but why wouldn't women want "the full package" (joke not intended). Even as a man, I don't know why I would want just sex when women could offer so much more.

I have a hard time believing women enjoy the thought of men wanting to fuck them just for the sake of being 'desired', because most guys aren't really selective and are going to sleep with girls they are not attracted to.

But if a woman sees that a man is really attracted to her, and he wants to sleep with her and not with anyone else, and he wants to sleep with her because he's very attracted to her.. I can see a woman being proud of that because he makes her feel good. A guy would need to be extremely good-looking for a woman to maintain her interest for a dude when he has a habit of wanting to sleep with several other girls, at least when he's displaying his interest on girl #1 and even then there are plenty of guys like that who are shunned away by women who have self-respect and don't lose their wits just because alpha males want to sleep with them.

We have to weed out the creeps, rapists, and users -- so there goes a % of the advances.

We weed out the completely self centered jerks because if he's self centered about everything else, there's no way he's going to care about the woman's satisfaction -- there goes another % of advances.

Keep in mind it's generally harder for the average woman to climax. And sex without climax isn't nearly as much fun. So now I've got to filter out those who appear not to have those skills and who can't learn. I don't mind teaching, but men may not be into being the student. So that narrows things down even further.

When I do find a guy who both cares if I'm satisfied and makes the effort to actually do it, he's a keeper.

I really can't agree with you on any of those points. It's really not as easy as people make it out to be to get good sex from someone you are attracted to and sex is a big deal to a lot of women. How much importance you place on sex isn't a gendered thing, but an individual thing. I have noticed a lot of men on trp seem to place a huge emphasis on sex and how difficult it is to find and this may be where that skewed idea comes from.

Women approach sex in a very care free way. If there's a hot guy pursuing them, cool beans, time to have some fun. If there isn't a hot guy around, there will be one around tomorrow or the next day. They are rarely, if ever worried about not having sex.

No, many ARE worried about not having sex. Not because they can't get it but because of the many issues involved.

You are totally underestimating what men are really like. Only women know.

Only women know what can happen after having sex with a guy. Women do NOT approach sex in a "care free" way in general.

Besides the obvious risks (STDS, pregnancy, being called a slut) there are the risks that the guy will fall in love quickly, think that sex meant she's romantically interested in him, he might stalk her afterwards, he might shoot her down on social media (because he feels used).

These are the reasons why women might be desperate for sex with a guy rather than their vibrator, but will stick with their vibrator. Especially if she's had one or two encounters having sex with guys who pursue her afterwards (even though it was just sex with no relationship ever mentioned).

Women do worry about not being able to have sex. They often want it, but the issues that can stem from it are just too great.

The last reason is not a "risk" but is important nonetheless. Sex in casual encounters might not be fulfilling for women. She doesn't get the orgasm she's looking for.

I go a bit wierd and hormonal after about 3 weeks without sex. I can't stand going without and it really messes me up. When I was single it was really hard going months without sex, and I had sex with people I shouldn't have a few times because I just needed the P in V. I think I am more highly sexed than most women though, I masturbated a lot from the age of about 11.

1- This is a big worry for me and ~~women~~ people I know. Finding a partner is one of the most important things in life! Be it Mr Right or Mr Right now!

2- Not in the workaday grown-up real world, no we don't. A gorgeous, slim, intelligent blonde and awesome girlfriend of mine went 3 years without meeting anyone decent at all whatsoever so no sex in all that time. I was single for over a year and only met my partner after hitting the dating websites to meet my long term and immediate needs, see paragraph one.

3- Yes fair enough but it is easy for anyone with friends to go out and party. I'm pretty sure my male friends are the same, if getting laid happens it happens but I doubt it is the main point of going out for most well-adjusted people. That would be very sad and desperate and you can smell those people a mile away.

I very much doubt I'll change your view, you people seem to be convinced that women have lovely awesome guys just crossing our paths and falling at out feet every two days. My view is that things aren't as different between the genders as you think.
