When talking about the “blue pill” views, thoughts, and behaviors that they used to exercise towards women, red pill men will cite their misleading mothers, negligent or absent fathers, as well as the gynocentric society they were raised in, as reasons they grew up acting “beta.” They say their parents raised them to be beta, and that other adults and the media encouraged this. We don’t hear them complain that these people merely allowed them to act on their beta nature. We hear the term “betafied,” which suggests that they were made to be more beta than they would have otherwise been.

I haven’t only read that society changed their beliefs about women; they claim that shaming of male sexuality changed how they viewed and felt about their own sexuality (that it was bad/wrong to feel attracted to girls) and some even influenced their preferences (in the direction of liking fat women or not allowing themselves to be attracted to young girls). They say that cultural influence and social punishments encouraged them to behave in ways that are inconsistent with their inherent male nature.

Generally speaking, I’d say the red pill stance is that of nature trumps nurture whereas it’s blue pillers that are more likely to claim that things are the result of socialization. This seems to be the one area that red pillers will happily buy into the idea of socialization overriding natural behaviors. Red pillers would probably disagree if I were to make the claim that stereotypes, social pressures, and messages from the media significantly contribute to commonly observed female behavior, and yet they readily attribute so much of their previous behavior to similar factors. The idea of “betafication” seems like a very blue pill idea.

Now they do acknowledge that some guys are “natural alphas” on whom this social conditioning did not work. Those Chads somehow were able to remain true to their male nature in spite of growing up in the same oppressive and that morphed red pill men.

By acknowledging that there are natural alphas they imply that they are not included in that category. Most members of TRP would have to admit that they are “natural betas.” They were never “betafied.” It wasn’t in their nature to be particularly masculine or alpha in the first place. Reducing the importance of gender roles in society merely allowed these men to behave more closely to their true beta nature. It’s more like they wish that they had been “alphafied” or masculinized by their environment. They actually wish that they had been trained to go against their inherent beta nature.

I think the anger phase must be simply anger at one’s biology, that one was born a beta male, and the frustration of trying to fight against that nature. Either that, or it is an argument in favor of gendered socialization having a powerful influence over behavior and psychology.

Come at me bro.
