As a guy, I learned the hard way that if a girl is interested in you sexually, you step on the fucking gas and go for it and take her sexually as far as you possibly can. If you don't, if you hesitate, she will lose attraction. The moments over. And you are either not attracted to her in which case she is embarrassed and hurt, or you're a pussy and she's disgusted.

Another thing is that if the girl is really attracted, she will be very forgiving of your fuck ups, your mistakes and your miscues. She will not, however, forgive ambivalence or hesitation.

Solid post, the answer is that girls are not expected to initiate so their game consists of being there and getting approached, everyone who doesn't approach her "rejects" her. This is no nice feeling. So they dislike the Ass who didn't make a move. A bit it is like "you didn't reject me, I rejected you preemptively"

YES! I've noticed this a lot in college.

It's better to at least attempt flirtation and escalation early than just going the friendly first route and escalate afterwards. At least she knows what your intention was that first time and when you meet her again, even after a few weeks, you start off on the level you ended at.

I've gone on the friendly route and when I meet her again, the interaction has too much of a buddy-buddy vibe to escalate from. I don't think it's impossible to go further from there, but it saves a lot of time for me to just show my interest as soon as possible.

To me, guys are the opposite of this, because as long as a girl doesn't look drastically different, the guy is always going to be attracted to her, regardless of how much time passes.

Are we talking about attraction, or actually pursuing the person? Because those are different things.

I dismissed someone as a prospect once shortly after meeting because someone made a joke about myself being recently single and (he) better watch out, the reaction was that of disinterest. Year or so later I was a little blindsided when he drunkenly confessed attraction, my mind flashed back to that moment. We stopped being friends (Sorry, I wasn't aware at the time I was suppose to lead people on in a orbit). The end.

just me. coz you have to take into account that there will always be men pursuing/hovering around this woman - new ones keep coming while single.

even in a non dating scene. lets say theres this friend you wanna go out with. he keeps saying no, he wont do shit. then theres these other buddies of yours who keep asking you, you really gonna waste your days waiting on an unknown?

besides, if he does want, he will move - if he does not move at that point and he wanted to, do you really want a man like that to begin with? i believe in the idea of, if you want something, you go and take it for yourself and win it.

and it makes you wonder, why all of a sudden is this guy moving, its suspicious. often the reality is, he was pursuing another and it didnt work out so you got upgraded in his mind. creating another branch of thought, what if this previous person changes her mind down the line or simply youre not the 100% that he wants in traits. its just risk assessment i think on common practices.

on the men part at the end... when men just want to fuck, does anything even matter anymore? men act like monkeys enough as it is when it comes to pussy... what do you really expect??? once that thing down there gets hard - everything else shuts down lol

Yes because abundance mentality. Women can afford to move on quickly because odds are that there are more than enough guys of comparable quality who are less hesitant to communicate their interest.

It depends why a person is attracted to the other.

If it's based upon physical appearance, then that attraction will most likely last until those characteristics fade.
If it is based upon mystery/imagination/projection, then that attraction will fade when they learn more about each other
If it is based upon character traits, then that will grow as you learn more about a person.

That's covering it broadly.

For me, because I have ADD, I lose interest very quickly unless I see them on a regular basis. And if they don't show interest, I usually move on. It's very easy for me to next.

I have noticed this and I imagine it has something to do with the fact that women are generally less looks driven (as in looks are required, like a ticket for entry to a concert, but they do not guarantee you a good spot [her vagina], like being Alpha forcing your way to the front versus being Beta and staying back). Chad would probably even face some deal of resistance after having failed to act, but of course, Chad would never lets this happen.

Edit: I also think it is possible that girls just "play hard to get" or "protect their feelings" and act colder towards a guy after having done some general flirting and gotten nowhere.

I would say no. Dating and being friends with someone serve the same purpose. You get to know them. It would be knowing them better which would kill the attraction IMO. I admit, it's hard to test for.

Just over time? IME no. I knew my boyfriend for a few months before he made a move on me, and I only got more attracted to him over time. However I wasn't really actively trying to get his attention during that period.

I can sort of imagine that if I was trying to flirt with a guy and being ignored, or outright asking him out and being rejected, I'd mentally file him under 'just not into me' and it would be somewhat difficult to stop thinking of him that way, even if his behaviour towards me changed. But I've never actually been in that situation, so who knows.

I think this happens with both sexes. Sometimes your first impression of a person is much more attractive than your opinion over time. The effect of a personality can diminish (or increase) your feelings of attractiveness. However, there is something to the notion that women will 'friend zone' men which is why it is important to make your intentions clear early on.

How blatantly was she trying to show interest? In your scenario, it kind of sounds like she was hitting on him and he turned her down. If that's the case, the sting of rejection can definitely "harden" her to this person.

I think for some women, interest hasn't necessarily waned...they may still feel upset about essentially being rejected, even three or four weeks after said rejection took place. Sort of a "give him a taste of his own medicine" type of thing. Other women, however, have already moved onto other crushes and forgotten the guy after three weeks.

Although I was in a relationship for two years, met a girl on my course 1 year into that and when the relationship ended she leapt on me. She admitted she had been attracted to me at the start and when she saw I was single again she made a move.
