Was browsing TBP, this thread comes up:

That is a TBP discussion of a TRP thread about hooking up with women that are already in relationships. To me, TBP has a weird opinion on this, but I'll take one of the top rated comments there said in sarcasm:

Yes, if a woman cheats with you and you know they are cheating it is entirely the woman's fault and you are completely blameless. Everything is the fault of women.

Since it is so highly rated at 47 points, I take it as representative of the feeling there. But, I have to wonder, why would an outside party that has never promised or implied fidelity or loyalty to anyone in the couple responsible for upholding said relationship?

Aren't the women adult enough to make their own decisions? Do they need to be babysitted? Explain this to me? Why should I be protecting relationships I have no stake in?

If I were to stop flirting with every woman that said she had a boyfriend or in a relationship, I'd get nowhere. Later on if we hit it off, then that relationship turns into a "white lie" so guys don't bother her, or she'd let me know it was "over", or whatnot. I suspect I'm not being told the truth all the time when girls say they are in relations, or if they are single. Great, whatever, she has to know, not me.

So... explain to me why my moral code should include protecting other peoples' relationships that they themselves apparently don't value?
