Absolutely not. Poverty greatly narrows the prospects for men. While some poor men may do well, I assure you a great number of them are suffering greatly in this area. Deeper down you go the worse it gets. Take this from George Orwell's time in Paris:

One might imagine that among destitute people the sexes would be as equally balanced as elsewhere. The sexual impulse, not to put it any higher, is a fundamental impulse, and starvation of it can be almost as demoralizing as physical hunger. The evil of poverty is not so much that it makes a man suffer as that it rots him physically and spiritually. And there can be no doubt that sexual starvation contributes to this rotting process. Cut off from the whole race of women, a tramp feels himself degraded to the rank of a cripple or a lunatic. No humiliation could do more damage to a man's self-respect.

I think it's very hard for people to understand the "ghetto" mentality if they have never grown up, and then "escaped" that life. Surburia, was and sometimes is still a shock to me. You grow up thinking all men (which I still see when someone says alpha male) and women have predefined roles. What you see is what you know, it's not settling, it's what you know.

It's the mindset I think. Lower inhibition, less to lose, rougher conditions growing up, IDGAF attitude. Girls for the most part are attracted to masculinity, and not giving a shit and going for what you want is pretty masculine.

Middle Class people typically grow up in easier conditions, have more to think about long term so they're more risk averse, easier upbringing makes them less rough around the edges. That said most of them do fine, however some do get left behind by becoming doormats or timid or things like that.

That said being poor or middle class or rich doesn't really matter in the micro level. An individual in any class can kill it.

Middle class men generally have to focus on school/career if they want to be middle class or higher, which means less time to focus on socializing and less opportunities to meet women

As someone who's lived in lower class and now lives in upper middle class, let me explain

1) Those groups are completely unaffected by feminism. When you grown to learn that men and women are equal, like many middle class white boys do, it can be very confusing when you learn there actually are a lot of very gender specfic expectation of you as a man, hence all the "you were lied to crap" you see on RP.

2) The culture of those groups tends to be shit test constantly, bullying is pretty common so people learn how to verbally spar and not show weakness much more quickly at a young age to survive.

3) Members of those groups tend to not have parents that can afford to put them down infront of an xbox/ipad/computer for hours a day, forcing them to actually go out and socialize.

4) Women in those groups are MUCH MUCH more honest about what attracts them to a man.

5) People in those groups usually aren't sinking a large amount of time into studying for demanding careers, which once again, frees them up to socialize.

Just speculation, but I wonder if people who do poorly at dating might be more surprised that they’re failing if they’re middle class. A poor person who fails at dating might see their circumstances as predictive of failure in dating. “What gives? I thought I was doing it right” vs. “Who would want to date a poor person like me?”

Poor men approach more women. I don’t me 50% more, I mean 6000% more. I have these types that work for me and they will approach 10+ women a day. Literally any woman they come into contact with that’s not a whale. When you make a run at that many girls you are bound to find a few with low self esteem that are really lonely.

Not necessarily. They might struggle less in general, but that's because they are dating women who are of the same socioeconomic class as them, and usually the same race. They'd struggle if they went after attractive girls who weren't lower class. The social dynamic in the "ghetto" is different than the social dynamic in middle class, upper middle class, and the rich communities.
