Turns out, when men complain about feigned oppression, women have examples of ACTUAL oppression to counter with. Plus, it was the patriarchy that created the idea that a woman’s job is to be the caregiver, and it’s MEN who often don’t want to be fathers and take care of the child.

This is horrifying. When I left my ex with less than half the money I had put in to the house we bought together I made myself a promise that I would never be financially entangled with another person ever. I now own my own little house (well slowly slugging away at the mortgage) and no matter who comes into my life this house is mine. No matter what relationship/s I end up in in the future. It’s my insurance, it’s my get away plan, it’s my independence. I will never give up this little piece of freedom that is mine.

My good friend is in religious premarital counseling and was told that she is denying her husband the ability to "securely attach" because she wants to keep separate finances.

LV men don’t care what happens to women because it’s always a woman’s fault, and in this case, it’s women choosing the wrong man.

LV men never blame men for choosing the wrong woman, so they tend to focus on the “poor man that shouldn’t have had his life ruined”.

Thanks for posting this, its important for women here to see real stories, and just how common this is.

One of my gfs actually pays her ex, who is ten years older than her, child support! He runs a very profitable business but also hides the money and takes government benefits. She kept her career throughout. Their kid is a teen now and she’s been paying him for years. Every time she gets a pay rise the ex gets more money! They split time wit the kid 50/50... but she pays for all his clothes and schooling expenses. PLUS child support. And yep she’s been to the tax department a million times, rationally, screaming and crying, year after year after year. One time she got a bulk tax return and half of it went to the ex! She was beside herself. But nope. The tax dept won’t do a thing.
