Well I think this is a true. I like ancient history and I personally think that men and women used to have a similar body shape, height and weight in ancient times, before the industrial revolution in general. Everyone, men and women used to do a lot of physical labour which could give both genders a lean, athletic body with broad shoulders. People in ancient times used to have much less body fat than nowadays(obesity was rare for the average, poor person). Also everyone used to eat the same things, food was hormone free and estrogen free too and women used to have much more physical performance due to the heavy physical and manual labour and housework. Also anabolic steroids and other hormone based drugs did not exist as well. Also everyone used to wear makeup and bras and high heels did not exist in the past. Also contraceptive pills containing artifitial estrogen and progesterone did not exist as well. Because of this I think most women used to be flat chests and natural big breasts was quite rare. And cosmetic surgery didn`t existed.

In antiquity men and women used to wear the same kinds of clothing. Marketing did not exist and gendered products did not existed too and I personally think that the world wasn`t sexist and gender obscessive as nowadays. I also think that masculine and feminine words weren`t used so much as nowadays as well.

I've been playing a game called Assassins Creed Odyssey and Kassandra is athletic and muscular and tall. She is taller than me and she is more muscular than many of the male caracters of the game and she is also more muscular than many of the guys who work out in my GYM. I believe that many women in antiquity and in middle ages had a muscular, and athletic body shape similar to her.

Doctors says that food and many manufactured things nowadays like pet bottles have artifitial hormones that never existed before. And there are also researchs that shows that naturally most women tend to have a straight up and down figure with small boobs.

Big breasts and curves mostly come from subcutaneous fat in the chest and in the butts and hips rather than bone structure itself and clothing design also contribute in this process( men and women used to wear the same clothes in antiquity). Female clothes nowadays can make a woman who is flat chested and straight up and down busty and full of curves - impressive. And male and female bodies aren`t much different from each other. And in ancient times bras did not exist. It seens weird but I think that people used to have lower anabolic sexual dimorphism(I am reffering to height weight and body shape). You can correct me if you think otherwise.

There is another interesting fact is that there are many painting featuring men with long hair with clothing that is considered feminine by today's standarts like dresses, skirts and high heels. And many of them had soft facial features. Were manboobs commonplace and accepted in ancient times?
