There's really no way to honestly answer this question. If I was born a female instead of a male many of my life experiences would be drastically different. It's the butterfly effect multiplied of a lifetime resulting in a completely different life. And to just say, "come one, just imagine everything else is the same but now your the opposite sex" is incredibly short sighted.

Do you remember a few months ago when some face filter was introduced that allowed people to see what they would look like as the opposite gender? I tried it and "me as a woman" was quite attractive. I saw the same thing happening with a lot of other guys who tried it. But I took it one step further and made an OLD account with gender swapped pictures of me. The results were telling: Female me got far more attention on OLD from all kinds of guys than I had ever gotten from women. So yes, based on that evidence, if I was a woman I do think my life would be better.

I think easier is the correct answer. That being said, as much as I joke about doing gender reasign surgery and becoming a instagram "travel model", I don't think that is a happy life. I think women are more impulsive, I think they depend on men even when they don't want to way too much. I think they have more needs than men, it's harder fundamentally to be content as a woman. We are set to hunt, it's badabing badaboom, we get the serotonin surge, endorfines and then that swee sweet testosterone. we're done for the day, or maybe the week.

But women feel differently,. sure they seem to enjoy simple things more, like being in their lovers arms, just hanging around and whatching movies ... and they definetly have more fun having sex. But - there's always something more, there's a agnst in the back of their head. They seem to never have enough security in their life and always live fearing what tomorrow will bring. I don't think I could live like that for a week, not to mention a lifetime.

However, if I was to be born poor so not knowing what man-brain feels like, would I prefer to do it as a woman - NO FUCKING DOUBT ABOUT IT. Social mobility for women is absurd. You can literally marry into a different social class every couple of years. Sure judgement and all that middle class guilt thing, but bitch, when you poor you stop caring about dignity before you get pubes.

Yeah obviously .My life is already pretty great but if I was a woman what few problem I still haven't completely solved would disappear. There isn't a facet of modern society where women don't have it easier.

However I wouldn't want to be a woman even if that's true. For some reason it feels like women are the npcs of life while men the players. Hard to explain with words but there is something about being a man that is powerful.

As a man, it’s not that I believe one is better than the other; it’s that females have the possibility of having it easier.

In video game terms, women have the option to play life on easy mode.

It’s only an option, but one that almost all women have as an option while only such a select few men have.

So to answer the question: No, I don’t believe my life would be better. I’ve worked tirelessly to cultivate and create the life I want. But, it wasn’t easy. If the roles were reversed, I could have used different methods to achieve the same status, methods that are not available to me as a man.

I could get much more sexual partners and would probably have much more pressure about having kids, due to the biology. I would have to plan my life a bit sooner and wiser as a woman.

Right now? No. I've already adapted to being my gender, all my emotional baggage and self identity is rooted in being, regretfully, female. But I've made it work and I am capable and secure in my identity.

I do believe my childhood would have been happier and overall I would have gone farther in life had I been born a male.

Nah. My life would not be better. I'd just have different problems to deal with. I'd still be alone, and miserable. I'd still be socially awkward/stunted. I'd still be emotionally closed off. And on top of that I'd be physically weaker. Itd probably make me extremely paranoid. I'm already paranoid enough about my safety as a man. I'd probably feel like shit if people only approached me because they wanted to fuck. I wouldn't feel as alone though. Theres give and take. I am happy to be a Male though.

I would kill for an opportunity to be born as a woman. Of course my life would be better I hate to perform the masculine role. I would rather be born as a woman and be femenine and be appreciated for it.

My brother and I have joked about how much easier both of our lives would’ve been if we were born into each other’s bodies. He’s 27, married, has a kid, is a high school teacher. He was a ladies man in high school and then started dating his now wife at 20 in college. He’s a homebody who likes to cook and be comfortable and look good. His wife is a lawyer and makes double his salary. He’d make an excellent housewife.

I’m 23, joined the navy after high school, I’m in STEM, I love adventurous solo travelling and extreme sports. Gender expectations and restrictions make it harder for both of us to fully be who we want to be. Starting from our own parents, dad tends to undermine him when we’re all together by tapping me on the shoulder and saying some shit like ‘well, at least we’ve got one man in the family’. Mum is constantly worried that I’ll die/be kidnapped and sold into sex slavery due to me constantly wandering around and that I’ll never settle down and have kids. If they could swap mine and my brothers personalities they would.

I don’t want to be a man and I don’t think my brother wants to be a woman, but it sucks when the life you want poses so many hurdles just because of your gender. It shouldn’t have to be this difficult.

I’m a straight woman and yes life would be way easier if I were a straight man.

• Society loves men. They are not under a microscope 24/7 and everything they do is not judged&attacked by everybody. They can relax and live.

• Cultural norms&trends always benefit men. Their voice is the only voice. They don’t have to fight for their agency.

• They won’t experience sexism&misogyny in the business world. 95% of jobs are male dominated and they get treated like kings in female-dominated jobs even if they are mediocre. They won’t get paid less and every work they do won’t be seen as easy, less valuable.

• Majority of women worship men and try to be beautiful, likeable, caring, good at sex, good wife for them. They trash feminism and other women to entertain men, mutilate themselves to be beautiful, laugh at their unfunny jokes, act dumber, weaker to make them feel smarter&stronger, fake orgasms, fake makeout w/ other women... they literally do everything for men whereas most men do nothing and women have to fight for 10-20% of unicorn men.

I can write hundreds of other things... Men have it way better than women.

What is the obsession here with proving who has it worse? Let’s just say you could definitively say men have it worse. So what? What are you personally going to do with that information? Improve your own prospects? Join the advocates working on men’s issues? Raise money? No. You’re going to sit on your ass and do nothing and use it as another pill to feed your self pity addiction.
