Watching an apparent red pill morph into a blue pill as the night wore on

Honestly I'm young and this has happened to me a few times. And this guy was probably completely oblivious to the bartender's subtle cues. And he will probably regret it later like "wow, I can't believe I didn't say this" or "I can't believe she said that and It went over my head". Possibility.

Example:

I was 20 I think (I'm 24 now), and it was a hot summer day. I was out in the front yard taking out weeds (there were so many). This door-to-door salesgirl comes walking down the street, I noticed her at the end of the street, but kept doing my own thing.

A few short mins later, she's walking towards me after going to my neighbor's house.....and even though I wasn't keeping track of her, I knew that she most likely didn't have any luck selling anything, because she made it to my house so quick from down the street.

She's standing on the street now, by my lawn, waiting for me to look up and acknowledge her. So I do that and nod my head. She's really really cute but somehow even this I stuffed into the back of my mind....

She makes small conversation like "hey, working hard?" with smiles all over her face. We go back and forth with a few short sentences and I start digging out the weeds again, i'm drenched in sweat.

She's nervous and starts telling me about the program she was selling. Some Christian Children Fund that helps kids in africa or bangladesh.

Midway she asks how old I am, I say 20, she says she's 22. Anyways, she finishes her sales speech and asks if i'm interested in signing up for $30/month to help kids.

Not to boast or brag but I'm honestly a generous/charitable person, and I did not even consider the possibility of going out with this girl on a date or anything.

So I said 'wait here I'll get my credit card', she says "Ok. in the mean time, i'll take out some weeds". My mom comes out and asks if everything is okay, and i'm like yeah and she says hi to my mom. She takes the shovel from my hand and starts going to work on the weeds....i'm still neutral....

I run and get my credit card, she gets the machine and papers, the deal is closed, she tells me the specific details about the kid i would be sponsoring etc etc.

It was around 3 pm btw. Then she tells me I was the only guy to sign up that day, and she was surprised because I was young and she thought I would flake her off.

Anyways, she compliments my eyes and then asks what I'm doing today (it's saturday). I reply 'nothing" and get back to digging weeds. I ask her what she's doing and she says "just going out with some friends to a bar maybe"

She sticks around, tells me how she has like 5 more streets to go down bla bla bla. And that her partner is way behind her so she can wait a few minutes for him.

I keep digging the dam weeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD WHY. Thankfully she stuck around and kept making small talk.

Again, she asks me 'what are you doing tonight' and again I reply 'nothing'.

She must have been thinking 'is this guy really that dumb or is he just not attracted to me?"

More small talk and she starts to takes steps away, and THEN AGAIN SHE ASKS ME "soooo what are you doing tonight?" and this time I said something dumb too like "i don't know , probably nothing"

She then thanks me and tells me i'm a good person, and curses the weeds, i join her in cursing the weeds, and tells me good luck and to have a nice day, and i tell her the same. At that point, she smiled as she walked away and still i couldn't fathom what had happened.

She was so dam cute, a red head, mature and funny...we got along so well, even though situations like that are usually awkward because people are scared of interaction.

Anyways, i finished the weeds about 20 mins later, took a shower, and as i was taking the shower, i realized what an idiot i was and how oblivious i was. She was hot and cute, and 'out of my league' so i had automatically for some reason, put the possibility of us going on a date or exchanging numbers out of the question.

She asked me THREE times what I was doing tonight or that day, and each time i replied with 'nothing'................

I got out of the shower, drove to the nearest tim hortons, got an ice old cappuccino (for her) and drove down my street, then the next, then the next, then the next.........desperately hoping to find her. I drove for like 1 hour around my neighborhood...and i didn't find her.

I met a friend, told him the story, he took the ice cap instead and i went home feeling like shit, but lesson learned for sure...

TL:DR; Cute salesgirl approaches me, was interested in me, i buy her $30/month kids sponsorship , she sticks around complimenting me and talking about her day, asks me THREE times 'what are you doing tonight', and i was completely oblivious to the fact she really wanted me to be A FUCKING MAN and ask for her number or setup a date.

So yeah, sometimes, things just go over your head....and you realize/regret later...and the point of this post, is that it's a possibility that this man thought of this bartender as 'out of his league' and so, didn't pick up on her subtle cues....because when we think we have a 'chance, we are actively seeking out those subtle cues...

MORAL of the story: Don't underestimate yourself. There are so many chumps out there who have no clue what they are doing in life or with women, and on top of that, they don't even care. We can be better than them, because we are seeking for answers and actively looking to improving ourselves in every, any way possible. I was presenting many of the 'redpill' or 'manly' qualities during our whole interaction, except, she was the one who noticed this all, and i didn't...because i never really talked to girls before that happened, and had no clue, that i could have easily escalated the situation and closed the 'real' deal, if i only knew........

The idea is to be direct. Women respect a man who takes charge.

When you try to beat around the bush, what you are really doing is being afraid of rejection. When you are afraid of rejection you are not direct because you are trying to softly and slowly get to the point of asking her out, to where you ask her out but not directly and see if she gets the gist.

Don't do that. Don't pussyfoot your way around when talking to women and trying to ask her out. Women aren't stupid, they know when a man is into them and yet still refuses to act properly upon that. She will view you as a coward.

This is why we say don't text outside of logistics. Women are not stupid, they know if you are into them, so if you are just texting her meaningless bullshit drivel instead of arranging logistics, she will view you as a pussy too afraid to just get down to business.

If only they'd remember, whatever attracted her to you in the first place is what you should keep doing. Don't switch up.

Most often it's the guy accidentally going alpha, cocksure and engaging, then once he realizes she's into him he starts betafying himself in front of her very eyes. Sad.

Well, there are some guys on the other side. So it's not all bad. Learning takes time.

The key lesson for that guy to learn is:

Don't ever expect women to be decisive, no matter how much women or popular culture tell us that they can be independent, make up their own mind, be assertive, meet you in the middle, etc.

It would be nice if it were true, as I think all humans are capable of thinking for themselves and being pretty independent when it comes down to it (as evidenced by all the career women who are actually successful - in all areas except motherhood and relationships). But, we can only expect women to have levels of integrity and accountability approaching that of men if they're in a position where they have no other choice.

I think a lot of guys self-sabotage and they do it without even realizing it. And I think it stems from lack of confidence in themselves and their skills in bed. The amount of girls I approached surged once I became 100% positive I was a good lay. Hear me out... Guys (most likely beta) who haven't fucked a lot don't have any confidence in their skills. We've all been there growing up and know that you gotta fuck before you know how to fuck well. So because they don't have a lot of experience; they push the sub conscious self destruct button so that way they don't risk any embarrassment or being judged by a girl while fucking her "wrongly".

Everyone, you have to realize that a woman doesn't have to do anything if she's atleast a 7+ to get a man's attention. Women get approached countless times, asked out, anything. It falls right onto their lap. Why would you do work for something that's already in excess? What would you do with a surplus? You will filter it and pick the best, much like at a job application.

Just if you would take the lead, be cool, don't say stupid dumb shit that disqualifies you already skyrockets you to the top 20% men. I made that number up, but you get the idea. The reason why so many betas never had a girlfriend is because they expect that a gender that needs leadership will lead the gender that is supposed to be the leader. How the fuck is that supposed to work?

The real take away here is that a post wall bartender is still holding out. He's physically attractive, makes good money "but he's still missing xyz... just like all those other guys."

I think this is a great BPE though, because he still doesn't get it. Yet at the same time, both women get it, and the games played by both parties are holding each other apart.

When women are into you, their signals can be maddeningly subtle, so it is easy to miss it. So, if you ignorant of this it is not surprising if you fail to escalate and things go nowhere. As a piece of common sense, if you are trying to make people like you, arguing with them usually does not help much.

Maaan this one hits too close to the bone. I could tell you a story that would make the whole of TRP break down in cringe I was so autistic about it.

What never fails to surprise me though is how angrily/bitter women can react when you don't pick up on their 'hints' and they feel that you have rejected them. It's like they feel that they've really stuck their neck out by dropping a 'its cold here' or by merely lingering around you for an extra 30 seconds. If you don't act on it they go cold in an instant and often turn rude. It's happened with a few 'friends' who were girls (I wasn't massively interested in them so no huge loss), one I worked with, bought me a drink on my birthday then just hung around me on the dance floor awkwardly dancing around and staring at me. I was out with the bros, a lot of which I hadn't seen in a while so wasn't really in a pulling mind set. Just kind of engaged her with small talk and such. After that night you would have thought I had spat on her the way she talked to me at work.
