You can read my previous posts about him if you like. Anyway. He's been a great boyfriend in every possible way, but these little slips now and then has made me question things. I also realize, that my past might blur my vision alot.

We had our first argument a month ago. We were spending an evening with my friends and I noticed that he's looking quite upset. I asked him to the side to talk. He said he has something on his conscience. He had accidentally called me by the name of his ex-girlfriend while talking to my friend. He feared that he had now ruined the trust between. At the beginning of our relationship I almost called him by my ex-boyfriend's name, so I understand that it may be just a glitch in the brain. It doesn't necessarily mean that he has feelings for her. At least in my case, that doesn’t mean it. It only happened once, so I don't think of it anymore. BUT.. I'm just wondering. I didn't hear him say it, so why he had to tell me? Also, my friend doesn't remember such thing. Could this be a manipulation tactic to make me insecure?

Another possible red flag.. I said to him one day that I'm kind of sad, 'cause after a huge weight loss my breasts aren't the same. It bugs me that I have to buy smaller bras now. He answered "Or you could have a boob job, haha". WHAT THE FUCK. He was the last person on earth I'd expect such an ignorant, sexist "joke". He immediately apologized and was really sad that he had hurt me. He said "I love you just the way you are. You don't need a boob job but if you want to do it, it's your descision." Aaand the apology just got ruined! I never hinted that I would want a boob job. He walked to the bedroom and dropped to lie on the bed. Semi theatrical, lol.

I don't know.. I considered him a good man before this, but I don't see him the same way I used to.

He is always very worried about not accidentally hurting my feelings and often asks if everything is ok. It’s a little annoying, but I still think it’s mostly a sign that he cares about me.

Also.. He tends to call himself stupid and I don’t like it. However, I'm starting to wonder if it's just a form of manipulation? He hasn't shown any controlling tendencies though, I feel free with him. Am I just paranoid or is there something to worry about? No other red flags. My instinct says I can trust him because his behavior is usually always consistent and respectful. However, I do not fully trust my own judgment because of my past.
