Because generally females don’t think critically or forwardly, so they support anything that sounds good in theory but in practice is a complete dumpster fire that we’ve all seen played out a million times. I saw a meme that explained socialism best: It's when you care enough about complete strangers that you're willing to have another complete stranger take money from yet another complete stranger in order to help the first complete stranger. As a result, you get to feel good about yourself simply for voting for someone who says they'll take care of the <insert oppressed demographic>. There's a duality in the socialist attitude, first the desire to help anyone who says that they are disadvantaged and the desire to not actually do anything to help them. This allows you to look out for yourself while still feeling morally superior than someone who puts in a 60 hour week to take care of himself. Therefore, someone who wants to feel good about herself while not actually doing anything to feel good about is drawn to socialism.

Women in general are socialist/leftist in nature.

The core difference between the left and the right is basically responsibility.

The left wants more government, which means they want someone else taking care of them.

The right wants less government, which means they want to be able to do shit on their own.

That is why when you give women voting rights, your society inevitably collapses, because women will vote themselves to get more money at men's expense.

So why do women lean left? because at the end of the day the only thing women care about is themselves and making sure that they are taken care of. Couple that with how women are unable to actually produce anything on their own, and you get this.

The most batshit crazy thing about this is that when it comes to mate selection, women are anything but socialists. If you're a low status guy they will have no qualms about humiliating you for no reason at all and reminding you of your shortcomings. Women also have no issue monkey branching their way through life paying no mind to the inequities that brings about.

I think it is because left wing views appeal to people who aren't used to delayed gratification and making big sacrifices under conditions of high risk. Women tend to be risk averse compared to men and are definitely worse at pinching pennies to be sure that the future is better than the present. Therefore they often pick up socialist views.

Don't be thinking for a second though that it's a sophisticated socially minded ideology. It's instinctual and selfish to the core.

It is because it´s "in" in chick circles and in society. That is basically all. And it´s cheap and noone on university will critizise you for this or exclude you from activties, parties, readings etc. Most dont have any deeper understanding of socalist ideology.

Try to be conservative or even outright nationalist. People will attack you all the time, you will be excluded from particular circles, friends will turn on you etc. Women are not so much into this kind of stuff.

As young lefty on the sub, I have spent the entirety of my life seeing the gains of our society shuffled to a select few while the failures and losses get trickled down. Dot Com bust, 2008, 2020, BP, Panama Papers, etc. The economy we live in has experienced a large degree of wage stagnation and lack of opportunity as capital continues to consolidate and raise the barriers to entry.

It is a response to the bullshit that we all complain about everyday. -The rich keep getting richer -Our institutions continue to bloat unnecessarily -Our society continues to rot because the focus of all of our lives is making money to not starve rather than shaping a moral society

At the end of the day the appeal of this form of economic organization is to find a more efficient and more ethical means to produce and distribute goods/services to our community.

There are layers upon layers to peel if you want to get a good answer to that.

The goals and principles of communism and socialism sound really good, and much of it actually even survives a quick, casual examination by someone who isn't very well informed or good at critical thinking.

Much of it resonates with someone who operates from a nurturing/care taking perspective, and most women are more or less hardwired to be nurturing and take care of people. Also why you see so many women work in, e.g., nursing, child care, early education etc.

Even though we are seeing many more women going out to work and earn money on their own, it's still very clear that many of them view this either as something temporary, until they can get married, have children and be a SAHM, or as only supplementing the income of their better paid "breadwinner" husband. Also why many, especially married, women work shorter hours, often at jobs that pay less.

At the end of the day, married or not, they expect not to have to survive solely on what they earn themselves, but to have more coming in either from their man, or from their surrogate man, the government.

All of which means that they do not see, or are less affected by, how taxation works and impacts you as a worker. With low pay in a progressive taxation system, you end up not paying very much tax after deductions. After subsidies, benefits, and pay-outs from various social programs, many women end up with a negative effective tax rate. In that situation, it's very easy to keep voting for more benefits, higher taxation and more "wealth redistribution".

It's not the rewards for their hard work that they expect will be taken away and given to people who haven't worked as hard, if at all. It's primarily those of men, and you can verify this by looking at the shrieks heard from women in general when some outlier woman end up having her rewards taken from her under these rules.

Then we have the whole area of entitlement, inability to defer rewards, and of thinking through all the steps. I mean, superficially, it seems pretty obvious that the solution to starvation is to feed people, right? Similarly, that the solution to poor people not being able to afford medical care is to offer free healthcare. A no-brainer, really.

If you take such a person, and start asking them questions, they will most often end up calling you names and stop listening. Still, even with the outcome given, it is enlightening to do, and just maybe, some will reflect back on the discussion and maybe, just maybe, see that you had a point.

So ask them: Ok, so lets feed the starving and provide medical care for the poor. Where should we take the food from? Who should pay for transportation and distribution costs of the food? What about the workers needed? Who will pay them for their labor, or are you proposing slavery?

Similarly, from where will the medicines come? Who will pay for building hospitals etc? How will you decide who will have to spend years educating themselves to become doctors and nurses, only to be expected to work for free? Or, if you plan to pay them, who will have to work without compensation so that what would have been their pay can instead be paid to doctors and nurses instead?

Oh, tax the rich! Ok, why would the rich stick around for that? Why wouldn't they just take their resources and move to a place that will let them keep their stuff? Also, why would someone take huge risks and/or work hard, if someone else is just hanging around just past the finish line, ready to rob them of their winnings?

You might catch some by surprise at first, but soon, all the people who would have made both themselves, AND society around them, richer will either leave or, if not possible, only work as hard as is needed to get the same rewards as everyone else.

Anytime anything like that has been tried, the result has immediately been a huge brain drain and reduction in economic output. See, e.g., East Germany after WW2, and why they felt compelled to put up the Berlin wall etc.

Socialism is an attempt to replace these evolved social institutions with rationally constructed institutions that are more in tune with our instincts. Specifically, the care instinct that motivates leftism is more prevalent in women because women have had a greater parental investment throughtout evolutionary history. Natural selection would therefore select for the instinct to care for the young in women.
