The r/seduction people are handing out advice again about how to get the attention of a woman in headphones. Despite all the women saying "don't, we don't want to be bothered, that's the point." They insist it's our fault for not being flattered. 🙄

I happen to work on a college campus and do a lot of walking around. I generally keep my headphones in because I like music. Occasionally, someone will indicate for me to take them out to interact for very legitimate reasons: need directions, tell me my backpack is open (thank you kind strangers), etc... So, yes, I will take my headphones out if someone asks. If you read my past post, you'll note I specifically mentioned guys trying to chat me up over my big sun hat. Both times this happened they made me take out my ear buds to do so (the most irritating part). I never told you how I got rid of them, though. OUT WEIRD THEM. Ex:

Dude interrupting my jamz: "Hey, that's a great hat! Must be great protection from the sun; I think women with pale skin are very attractive."

Me responding VERY enthusiastically: "Yeah! I'm trying to keep the amount of cancer I get to once per decade. Did you know most skins cancers just look like giant open sores that won't heal? I have some pictures of my mom's basal cell carcinoma on my phone, want to see?!" No hint of annoyance or sarcasm.

Dude mutters no, then wanders away.

See, I did nothing wrong socially. I didn't yell, call him names, or tell him to F-off like we should be able to. I was all smiles and enthusiasm. All I had to do was make him feel as uncomfortable as he made me, and boom, they slink back to whatever swamp they came from.

I know FDS says "nice for what?" But, if you are up for it, try "weird for payback." 😏

Another hint: make it as gross as possible. I'm a biologist, so I got gross, inappropriate things to say for days. If you need some ammo, working vaginal discharge or yeast infection into your response should definitely do the trick.
