I hope I chose the right flare! My husband walked out on me for my best friend on October 22nd 2019. He was giving me $40 a week to help me get by until September 2020 when he decided he wasn't going to support me anymore. Coming up with the money for a lawyer has taken so long! Today in 15 minutes I find out how much he's going to have to pay me in maintenance and I know it's going to be way more than $40 a week. I know I shouldn't feel guilty but part of me kind of does even though he abused me, treated me like crap in abandoned me I still have guilt. I don't know why and I wish I could get over it!! I'm posting here because I know you ladies will understand what I'm going through and I need some understanding right now. I truly appreciate this subreddit and everything I've learned from it!

Edit: for those who are sending me DMs saying that I wasn't abused I guess you could say throwing somebody to the ground where their head bounces off isn't abuse. Or throwing them to the ground after you've just screamed at them for 5 hours straight. Or looming over them while you're screaming at them pushing them with your body into a corner and if you even flinch they mock you. He never punched me, but he did abuse me!

Update: he whined to the judge about how he has no money and that he didn't think you should have to help me at all. She didn't really appreciate his attitude. Even though she didn't give me as much as my lawyer asked she gave me more than what we thought we'd get. If he had just played it differently she probably would have given me less a month than what I'm getting. He also lied saying that I didn't return his some of his items, which I did and that's part of the reason why he shouldn't have to give me any money. Plus he has bills to pay and he had to replace just about everything to set up a new home for himself. We go back in October and hopefully get the final divorce!
