On this sub, a constant argument is that men don’t care about status. I don’t believe this one bit.

My theory is yes on a biological level, physical traits attract a partner (first 7 seconds), but then ego comes in which tells you - this person would make me look better, would be acceptable to my friends and family, would not challenge me, etc.

Male ego is all important to men and men will do anything to protect their ego. Most sex is about power and showing male power, from Gates to Epstein, men desire an ego boast from sex and therefore go after the youngest, most inexperienced women, not necessarily the most fertile or attractive women.

It’s also why men will go for higher status girls to raise their ego, which is completely socially constructed.

Men will go for richer girls (I.e songs like uptown girls) and white girls (Kanye) all to stroke the male ego. It’s why they will be super attracted to overweight women, but never disclose it to their friends. Or why Thomas Jefferson had six children with Sally Hemings.

Male ego drives all and it’s not grounded in biology.

Note, many of the girls may not be attractive at all. Look at Gates mistresses. Attractiveness is not important to men, how a women makes them feel to themselves and within their social environment is the MOST IMPORTANT thing.
