Hi, brothers.

Me: 45. Her: 35. 8 years married, one toddler kid.

Me, just beginning with this. Registering today to a frigging gym.

My wife is living in a different state (of the US, that is) than I am, but she's supposed to join me next week, for good. We have been separated for 2 years, with occasional visits here and there, because she was studying a career. She is living with her parents. She just graduated, and now we are supposed to live together.

Well, 3 days ago I did something stupid. Let's say I broke an old vase, for example purposes. When I tell her over the phone, she starts telling me that I am stupid, and things begin to escalate. I don't STFU (I know I should have). She gets super angry, calls me stupid several times, hangs up on me. Then calls and says that she's going to call 911 to have the police drag me out from my house because I am dangerous (I am alone in my house and she's in a different state; how ridiculous is that). I say nothing. She hangs up.

It's late at night, I go to sleep and she calls me almost at midnight, and I can hear the voice of my daughter crying, saying "I love you, dad", and she yelling "She's crying because you said you wouldn't defend her" (or something stupid; I can't recall). Then she tells me "YOU ARE THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD" like five times. I say "That's not true" and she hangs up.

She's supposed to come and live with me in less than 5 days.

What should I do?

  • Do nothing? STFU, lift, read, etc.?
  • Call her and say: that was verbal abuse. If you are going to continue that behavior, don't come to live with me in our house?
  • Go live somewhere else?
  • Something else?

Thanks for your comments in advance.
