Ok seriously. I always though I used all the toilet paper. Hell no I am amazed at how little toilet paper I use! Like seriously what did she do with all that toilet paper?

Divorce was initiated in December, finalized in June. All YTD is just me, same house, kids half the time, and still the same (EXACT SAME) irrigation needs: few plants, small patch of grass, but in TUCSON, so typically water intensive. Same pool too, which is connected to water line to stay full. Literally ONLY difference is she’s paying for her own water now (and half the kids’, like I said).

My water bill dropped by 2/3. She was incapable of turning on any water source just enough to do what she needed to do. Full blast, full time. Also had to let it run for 30 seconds to get all the bad water out first.

I have a similar story on water and electricity bills. The difference is gas bills isn’t that obvious. Trash bills do not change as it’s a standard fee, except I only need to put the bins out badly once a month compared to before, if I forgot to do it every week, it was a minor disaster :)

I’ve moved out of the home into a whole different kind of living situation, so I can’t really compare costs related to housing exactly. But other things are drastically reduced. I use about one roll of paper towels per month (compared to 2-3 per week), maybe two rolls of toilet paper per week (compared to one or two every day), and I’ve bought two small packs of paper napkins for a special occasion, which barely got used at all (compared to going through one such package every day or two). Of course, she has the kids living with her, and they consume these things too, but I do remember how the two of us lived before kids, and I know that I am using waaaayyyy less than half of what the two of us used together.

Don’t get me started on candle consumption.

My food bill dropped by like 75%. Whod have thunk the 360lb man was eating lions share of food vs 130lb me and 1+4yr old kids ;)

When i was still married and my oldest was in cloth diapers you’d think we used a lot of water. My sister moved in and my water bill TRIPLED. Bitch was showering upwards of TWO HOURS a day (4x a day 20-30min showers) and washing 2-3 items after trying them on.

No idea how we have same parents who only allowed sheets washed once a quarter and jeans had to be worn at minimum 7x and towels 2x a month. In all fairness there was 6 kids and one small washer and my mom hated laundry and wouldnt let anyone touch the washer. So there is that.

But sister went on a water binge like nothing else. Still salty 13years later about the 200+ dollar water bills i couldnt afford for a year 👿

Yeah my STBXW runs the dishwasher four days a week, she's gone for a week and I run it once. She leaves lights on all over the place too. Guess who pays the power bill?
