Ha! Good ones. Had a good chuckle, however this is true for a lot of people who believe in "equality", and that's pretty frightening. To them it's only unequal if there are more men, and not the other way around.
Oh, my company claims they don't discriminate based on race or gender, but then they sat us all down for mandatory "diversity training" where they explained we had a goal of achieving 1/3rd female executive team and wouldn't you know it, within 6 months 3 men were fired and magically we had 2 females on the 6 person executive team? (The executive team was 7, and it was reduced to 6). Funny how that worked out, huh?
To be fair, woman really were oppressed throughout history so the fact that our female ancestors didn't get educations and invent things shouldn't be held against woman today. Now the pendulum has obviously swung the other way with many more woman than men getting higher education. But if we don't want history held against men then we shouldn't hold it against woman either. We should all be equal now.
I was responding to a comment specifically about scientific advancement. I didn't think it was controversial that historically woman have had less access to education than men, do you disagree with that?
It sounds like you agree that woman used to have less access to the type of education that would lead to scientific advancement.
I'm not disagreeing with any of the points your making. All I was saying is that it's wrong to judge woman today based on the fact that woman in the past didn't contribute to science.
I wouldn't be surprised if they caved though. They already effectively banned paternity tests (you can't just do one, you have to ask your wife for permission. If she says no you have to go through the courts) and fatherhood is defined as "those who take care of the baby". Which sounds nice but if you find out after a few years that it indeed isn't yours you are fucked.
Except this article is a step in the right direction. The authorities are pushing back against what you just wrote. This is a good thing. The pattern is clear:
Backed up the mainstream media, everyone bends over backwards with one example of gender-based favoritism after another (you know, cause of 'equality')
Men's groups push back, they are instantly dismissed, silenced, no-platformed, etc.
The favoritism continues.
Eventually, women themselves and male left wing allies finally push back too, so we get stories like this one.
The push back continues again, as you quoted, but this time it isn't quite so easy to dismiss. This is an official government official saying the favoritism is wrong.
Finally comes the next phase where the pendulum swings back into the normal category. We're not there yet, but it's slowly beginning.
As a feminist I have a problem with this. We need to be encouraging more women to go into management. This fine just proves there's a glass ceiling and the patriarchy is active and abusive. So what if 100% of managers are women? You should care about equality as these women are your sisters, mothers, friends.
Unfortunately I need to add this is sarcasm as what I wrote is too fucking realistic.

Employers can't implement hiring quotas based on race/gender and still say they don't discriminate based on race/gender.
