When I used to play soccer, we were prohibited from winning by more than three points as it was poor form.

After three, you rotate in players that are often on the bench, practice other skills like constant passing, letting the opposing team work out your defense, etc.

If you managed to score points against coach’s orders you would be pulled out and not be allowed to play in the next game.

It’s almost like athletes get paid based on supply demand rather than for having a penis. Soccer team owners would much prefer to pay theirs stars the salary women do, they just know that competing teams will pay more to attract talent.

Honestly, they should get paid waaaay more. The USMNT blows and the USWNT is actually good. Just because they can't compete against men well, doesn't mean they aren't good at what they do.
