And people wonder why men are so stoic all the time. He tries to open up about his negative feelings, is forced to apologize and shut down the feelings.

This is like a microcosm of male stoicism and it’s causes.

Why on earth should he have to apologise for stating the truth? The fact is he is judged on his looks. Female celebrities are judged based on their looks and so are male celebrities. I'm tired of hearing feminists act like female celebrities are the only one's being judged for their looks.

That said, I also don't think there's anything wrong with thinking a celebrity is hot. Attractive actors and actresses are definitely aware that the reason they get parts is because of their looks and not just because of their acting. They shouldn't go around complaining when the general public thinks they're attractive. If they don't want to be judged for their looks, they shouldn't accept roles that portray them sexually. It's that simple. This goes for both male and female celebrities.

In my opinion, we should be teaching people that being objectified is normal, and that it shouldn't be a negative experience. If someone appreciates your body, that's still a part of you, and you should try to take it as a compliment.

Maybe it's just because I'm not attractive enough to be objectified, but I don't really understand the reaction to people finding you physically attractive. If it bothers you, ignore them. Their interest is beyond their control, the best you're going to be able to do is get them to not voice their opinion, but they'll still think of you in that way. If you're offended by their attraction to just one aspect of you, then you have to deal with those feelings. Being offended is your own problem when it comes to free speech.

It could simply be a misrepresentation of what this Kit bloke (whoever he is) wrote, I don't know.
