I'm not sure if this sub is big on politics but I would like to know your thoughts on this: What sort of future will the American people, especially working class males, have under the Hillary presidency?

She's on record officially supporting separate due process for women.

However as we all know, Hillary flip flops like sunflowers in a light breeze with public opinion, so if feminism's decline continues we can expect Hillary to drop the act, but until that happens I expect an administration that is very hostile to men.

Depressed wages due to rush process of legalizing illegal immigrants, creating a massive new base of low-skill, un-credentialed labor. Employers may pay more as the pool of illegals dries up through naturalization, or a new pool of illegals rushes in to fill the void and be next in line for citizenship. Either way, men, particularly black men, coming out of prison will have basically no chance of getting work as millions of former illegals with "clean" records that started on day one of their citizenship, will be the easier hire.

More globalist treaties like TPP and worse will push for further offshoring of remaining classic blue-collar jobs via free-for-all of imports and ignoring chinese trade manipulation in order to not rock the boat and keep currency games operating as normal.

Government jobs quickly become the best around through stability and wages, are now further dominated by women, especially with the huge difference in university degree rates which are a standard state/fed job requirement. Even worse will be direct pushes from white house for unequal woman-first hiring push in government in the afterglow of woman president election. Ripple effect lasts for generations.

Continuation of failed Rockefeller drug laws continue to ruin lower class male outcomes. Clinton made hay with being 'tough on crime' in the past, its an easy playbook to reach for again even in an era of decreasing crime rates.

Military size and readiness may hit the enlisted ranks hard in terms of jobs as connected Clintons have more to gain from being cozy to weapon system manufacturers and mass arms-sales than to spending on maintaining toop numbers, funding VA dept transformation. Will likely have a few huge, unasked for, weapons shoved into the acquisition schedule as repayment for past favors.

Just a few guesses. All this could happen under Trump as many are congressional issues.

First of all there is no reason you shouldn't have a female president and you probably have the right woman somewhere, it just isn't Hillary. in some respects I'm thankful I'm not in your American shoes (although we've got our own problems in the UK) but Hillary will be bad news for you and by extension everyone else.

Expect no respect and no action for the working class. The working class and middle class men stand to get screwed by a government led by a someone that wants to act on nonsense to placate a loud demographic - quotas to "show progress" but not anywhere low earners or high danger. more boys being held back in school, women getting away with crimes in higher numbers. Your pensions? Savings? Made worthless and your taxes going to fund ever more welfare.

Expect to see things like overtime, danger pay, working unsociable hours etc having less monetary benefit because the "wage gap" needs closing.

Certainly don't expect zero international conflicts or world peace just because a woman is in charge

In the 70's, HRC co-wrote a paper titled~ For the Good of The Children. It was a junk science paper used by feminists to support the idea that woman are the real care-givers and that men are obsolete in child-raising; redundant, essentially.

I can find NO trace of the paper other than a Warren Farrell video where he references it. If anybody has further information, I'd really be grateful.

Working class people of both sexes, but mostly the men who dominate manufacturing, will get screwed over by the TPP, Clinton's baby by Obama. Working class males will be sent to die in more neo-con wars while females stay home or at least off the front lines. The only place where Clinton will harm males and females equally is when it comes to being blown up by some lunatic Muslim pissed off at yet another sea of Arab blood being shed by the psycho in the white house.

Honestly I dont think much would change. They would continue toiling away as the unsung backbone of the economy while being told they are entitled misogynists for having an opinion.

But there is one chance.

Bring up the plights of men to Clinton directly, openly, and frequently.

If feminism is about "equality for all people" then it shoulnt take much effort to at least have the greivances of men to be heard right? Sure change wont be instant but speaking up shouldnt be too hard right?

The primary difference will be Supreme Court justices. The next president will be nominating at least two, and possibly three new justices, who will serve for at least 20 years, probably more. Hillary will nominate justices who lean more to the left, balancing the court from the activist conservative stance it has had for a couple of generations. However, one of those justices will probably be replacing Ginsburg's, and it is doubtful that anyone as liberal as her would survive the approval process today, so while the court may lean left under a Hillary Clinton presidency, it may never again have a solid liberal column.

Clinton is no feminist even if she's pretended to be one for a long time. But feminists have had increasing power under US imperialist governments regardless of the party or president. This is because feminists act as a cancer on the Left, an effective fifth column that helps the elites keep power and divide the working class. No doubt this pattern will continue under Clinton, but perhaps it wouldn't under Trump?

More specific policies are hard to judge because Clinton lies about all her policies even more so than typical imperialist politicians do already.

I guess as usual the biggest problem for working class men under Clinton will be her bombing them to death in the Middle East and maybe starting other proxy wars with Russia. Also if she accidentally starts WW3, that would be bad for men too.

Destitution and poverty, and i am a communist. Neoliberalism has failed. It began on the promise of a rising tide lifts all, and now all but flatly concedes it has left the majority under water. A capitalist economy is functionally incapable of producing enough jobs for significantly more then half its population. The influx of women into the labor market with no provision for an equal outflow of men has reeked havoc on wages in the united states. Continued policies of this sort will begger our nation.

More healthcare, larger social safety net, more financial regulation (actually just less deregulation than the alternative), possible a tax cut but not a particularly big one, tax increase for richer people, also not that big. Harder to get into college, easier to be expelled once there. More aggressive prosecution of police who kill them (again maybe just compared to the alternative), easier to form a union, possibly some better government-mandated job benefits, less prosecution of drug offenses, more infrastructure spending that will generate working class jobs but not that many (also hopefully the infrastructure itself helps). Women have their own justice system where they're treated better than men.

For anything that requires Congress only like 2 of the things will happen, but that's just par for the course.

Much better than Trump, who will bring about a depression, cost lots of jobs, more financial deregulation, law-and-order type stuff i.e. doubling down on mass incarceration (so everyone treated worse), less of a social safety net, smaller tax cut, big tax cut for the rich. And if you're Hispanic, jackbooted thugs. Risk of Nuclear war or stupid military intervention higher.

OK Title IX for colleges will be better, so there's that.
