My first day of high school. I'm sitting in English class listening to Mrs. Hopkins go over the syllabus. Next thing I know, I'm smelling cigarette smoke. She stops her lecture and tells a punk in a grease stained concert T to put the cigarette out. He stands up, yells "Fuck You and your stupid fucking book!" and throws the textbook at her with full force. It barely misses her. He walked out the door and we never saw him again. At that point, I was thinking "What the hell have I gotten myself into". I saw some crazy shit back then including the Vice Principal getting punched out by a pissed off Motley Crue fan, numerous racial attacks, and some generalized debauchery. I graduated in 1989, so shit like this video went down even back then.

I went to school in Guam and Hawaii when I was younger in the 90's... I went to one week in public elementary school in Guam. After a fight broke out in class and a kid stabbed another kid with a pencil, my parents decided to take me to catholic school. When we moved to Hawaii, it was the same as it was in Guam's public schools... We would have a rumble at least once a month which consists of at least 5-10 people fighting in the middle of the yard during lunch. I've seen a kid jump off a three story building trying to commit suicide and I've seen multiple stabbings and gang violence during that time.

But when a teacher asked you to be quiet, we'd all shut up. Well... Except for the Samoans... You never tell a Samoan to shut up. Ever.

If I was the teacher, as soon as she said "fuck you" for the first time I'd be out of there, man. Things could not be anything but worse from that point on. Having to deal with these disrespectful students is just not worth the small pay check.

Fortunately, in my high school years there were very few episodes like this, and my teachers wouldn't take this kind of crap. Refuse to leave class? That's ok, the teacher left the classroom and the whole class went without that lecture, and because the majority of students was actually interested in learning (or at least not being a disrespectful and noisy animal like the people in the video), we wouldn't tolerate some asshole fucking our classes up. The one time a student refused to leave, he wasn't allowed to go back in school grounds the next day and was expelled.
