For more clarification:

Why would a formely broke guy who's been ignored by woman through most of his younger life, who than suddenly receives more attention once he became financially stable want to date woman at all?

Unless you're a good looking dude, but if you're an average looking joe, women nowadays don't want to date you while you're struggling and grow with you as you become more stable. They want the finish product/the end prize.

I feel like in the past it was more common for girls dating guys through his journey of growth and watching their man grow and become financially stable.

But in the modern western world, at least in my mind I don't see any incentive for guy to start dating or marrying women he suddenly gets more attention from.

Especially after long hard and lonely journey he had to endure (without having a woman by his side) to get to the point where he becomes financially stable.
