Me (35M) and my ex-wife (31F) were married for 4 years, together for about 7. We were both very unhappy and marriage counseling couldn’t help us salvage our marriage…

It’s been like two weeks since we went our separate ways. It’s been lonely…and difficult. I’ve never felt this alone before. I don’t know how to bounce back. Every night feels so heavy when I’m going to sleep.

Without her and our dog I don’t really have much in the way of friends. I had one close friend I hung out with the other day, but he smokes weed and drinks and doesn’t really move with a purpose in life. I’m trying to get away from substances (especially because I’m in therapy and trying to get my ADHD under control with medication…)

I find that I’m also pretty anti social. It gives me anxiety. I don’t really know how to counter this loneliness and overcome this…it all feels so hopeless at times…even the prospect of sex gave me a slight panic attack the other day.

But I don’t really have a social circle to help me through this. Do you guys have any advice or experiences you could share to help me?
