Thought I would share.

Had a 4-5 month relationship that I just ended, honestly due to some similar things that happened in my marriage that ended last year. This was my first actual exclusive girlfriend since my divorce.

Man, was she hostile. Some low blows were thrown and in the end I didn’t bend emotionally and needed to just block her since I won’t accept that type of treatment anymore. I guess my focus on stoicism has paid off.

It honestly does suck and it’ll probably take me a few days to come back down from the bit of anxiety. With that said, I can tell that I have much more emotional stability and have grown over the last year.

What I can see right now is that I have boundaries that are a non-starter and I have more respect for myself to hold to them. I don’t NEED a woman to make me happy and I’m willing to walk away from something that isn’t adding to my path.

On the bright side, I know that the right thing is out there for me. It is not worth compromising on your values for something that isn’t adding to your life.
