I still think about my first wife and the good times when where growing up. But she turned in to such a miserable money grubbing shit head. I can't stand to sit in the sane room with her. Thars been 8 years.

Second wife can go piss up a rope. Cheating whore it's been 6 years

Third wife, well it's only been two weeks. I like her, think we may stay friendly.

I don’t miss stbxw I miss the idea I had of not having my daughter in broken home. Of not being able to see my daughter every day. This is the only thing that hurts … but I could never go back …. It sucks one day it will be better.

Even if you have kids, once they're grown, you never really have to see your ex anymore. I haven't seen mine in over a year.

Not sure, she left in July 2022, and still not really over her. I'm not nearly as bad as I was before, and it gets better, but I'm still not at the point I'm interested in anyone but her.

I would give yourself a gut check on your sanity. How do you feel about being around her? If you dont breakout in sweats or shake or want to yak. Go for it, go meet new people. Be safe.

For Christmas, my mom bought me this book. The first page talks about the timeframe and how it is what you make it. Just like described in the book, my own family told me after only a single month that they didn't understand why I wasn't over it. They were over my wife leaving, why wasn't I?

So ignorant. To them it was a news headline. To me my whole world had been shattered.

What do you mean by "getting over"? Not loving her, or not thinking about her in some way every day? I have friends who have been divorced for decades, but their ex's are in their lives (even if they have talked for years) via their shared kids so they think about their ex's every single day.

For years after my divorce I had nightmares that I was still married or got back together with my ex. I would wake up soaked in sweat and practically crying from the terror. My divorce was so high conflict that I'm pretty sure I have some form of PTSD from it. It's been a few years and I'm mostly past that point, luckily.
