My name is David, I'm 38 and I just don't know what to do. I met my wife in college, we were young, she was just magnificent and I was the shy guy no one notices. But, I don't know how, she did. I thought it was a dream for so long because how could a woman like her see and care about a man like me ? I had a lot of trust issues, and I still do actually... Two years later, she got her degree, while I still had 2 years to do. But she fell pregnant. I was so afraid, I thought we were too young and that I wasn't ready but she really wanted to keep the baby. Just so you know, her parents have money, and they don't like me because my family does not belong to their social class. So they were not happy to learn about the pregnancy. Though, my love insisted and we had the baby. A beautiful girl. I was still a student but she was working and her parents helped with money. Everything was so fine, I decided to ask my love for her hand. She is the first woman I truly love and she is my second relationship. She taught me many things. I built my life around her. She is everything to me. And she said yes. We got married. I was in heaven. Years later, I found a job, and we had another baby. Her parents had no choice but to deal with me so it was getting better. And then, last year, my grandmother was sick... and everything turned to shit. To help my grandmother who lives in a farm and couldn't take care of it anymore, I decided to go move in her house with my family. I grew up in the country, next to my grandmother's farm and to be honest, I am closer to her than my parents. My wife was not very happy to leave the city for the country with the kids, unlike me she is a city girl. But I convinced her. We moved to my grandmother's house with the kids. I quit my job to go working in a store and took care of the farm, my children were happy in their new home, but I knew my wife was not happy. She started avoiding me, telling me some hurtful things. Like, with our marriage, it is true, I had gained some weight, I love cooking as much as I love a good meal. But she never really told me she disliked it. She was still perfect, beautiful, too beautiful for me. But since we were at the farm, she started to tell me that I needed to loose weight, she was ashamed of me. That was painful. But I wanted to make her happy, so I tried my best, and taking care of the farm was exhausting, it was a lot of work. Still, she was controlling all of my meals, blaming me for many things in front on our kids and my grandmother. She was barely looking at me. Sometimes, she left the bedroom to go sleeping on the couch because she didn't want to talk to me. She blamed me for my new job, because I was not paid as much as before. After a month, my grandmother talked to me about us. She was worried. It made me feel so bad. I was afraid to loose the love of my life. So I planned a romantic time for the two of us, because we didn't have time for us two in a while. And that night was perfect. My wife was happy, and she acted like before, in our first months together. And, with that night... she was pregnant again... That was a surprise, I saw that as a sign of us being strongly reunited, but my wife didn't see it like that. She said she didn't want to have a baby in the farm, we had to get back to the city, that it was not good for the kids to grow up in the country. I tried to reason with her, but she just avoided me again. And, one day, she left, and went back to the city, to her parents' house. I called her many times to talk with her about all this, but she didn't want to listen to me. And her parents didn't let me see her. I was very busy at the farm, and I the time my grandmother's health was just getting worse. So I stayed with her and the kids, while my wife was enjoying her time away from me. My grandmother died eventually, and it was a very hard time for me. That's when my wife came back with babies, our new little girls. Twins, I just had twins without knowing it. I was so happy and relieved to get my wife back, with our new kids, because I really needed someone. I missed my grandmother. But actually, my wife just told me she had met someone else during her pregnancy, and that he was more ready to make efforts than me. So she wanted divorce... It broke me, it broke my heart, my world, everything. Like I said I built my entire life around her, I had her and it was more than enough. I never thought I could marry a woman like her. So now I sold my grandmother's farm, I moved in a new house and I have to take care of 4 kids because my wife didn't want to, because she prefers to travel with her new boyfriend. I am lost. Desperate. I love her, and I know I have to let her go but I just can't move on. I barely eat and sleep these days, I have nausea, stomach ache, panic crises, I feel sick all the time, it is hard to get out of my bed, but I have to for my little girls. My elder daughter is helping a lot but she still has to go to school and study, my little man too. I am so lost, if anyone could help me I would appreciate and be gateful... And last week I learned that she married her new boyfriend. I cried all night. I don't know if I can keep on living like this, I know my kids need me but I'm afraid I won't have the strengh for long...
