STBX and I are on the way to divorce, final decree has now been signed.

Up until recently, she has been cold and not emotional or sharing that side of herself with me. It felt like she knew she wanted the divorce and wanted me to move on. She initiated. She wanted this. But now as the divorce is almost final and the home will be closing/selling soon, reality of the end is finally hitting her. Now she is emotional, she is sharing her feelings. Everything between us now is very friendly and nothing but love. She called again today, she first asked if her communication with me was making it harder for me or if it was okay to keep an open communication, she was crying. I told her I don't mind the communication. We talked about random stuff with the divorce and she ended the call saying she loved and missed me.

Recently she has brought up things about "being open for connecting again after the divorce" and making it seem like she wants to date after the divorce. I have posted about this and got mostly responses saying that she is keeping me around as a plan B.

I feel anxious and my worry comes from not knowing exactly how to handle this or wanting to hurt her. Are there underlying motives behind the calls? Is she just going through a lot of emotions with the end of everything and is truly just wanting my emotional support? Or is she getting the sense I have moved on and trying to keep me around. She has the power to take action if she really didn't want to lose me. She could've stopped the divorce. She could explicitly come out and tell me she knows she wants a future with me and doesn't want to lose me. She left me and I can't tell if she's expecting me to be chasing after her still.

I know no contact would be better for both of us but it's hard to not care. I am tired of being confused. I think it all boils down to the fact that letting go is hard. It seems like this all comes from a place of fear and uncertainty for her. If it was from love, I think she would speak up.

Does anyone have a similar situation or thoughts on this?
