The Pareto principle seems real when using dating apps for a very simple reason:

They're designed that way. They're supposed to destroy your self-esteem and trick you into chasing the next high by swiping over and over. You were exploited. Recognise that and try to establish the idea that those apps do not define you

It took me 5 years to get one date on bumble. And it was a crappy one too

I would literally have zero matches for years on some of these apps.

Delete that shit asap. Go out in the world and meet women by just making friends with them. It’s so much easier.

Don’t pressure yourself into having to sleep with them right away.

The easiest thing to do is just literally be friends with them and just get to know each other as friends.

Over time, if you continue to talk to her and she to you, she may develop feelings for you.

The less you try, the better.

I'm not sure what the 80/20 rule is, but maybe what you need is a break from it all? In my female opinion, redpill is designed to protect your feelings and place blame elsewhere. Don't feel insecure about your skin color. I'm assuming your darker? I'm a fair complected middle eastern woman, and my man is a darker Salvadoran man. We are the same height, he is my cornball, and we met on NOT dating apps. Keep doing you, as cheesy as that sounds.

Dating apps are designed to keep you addicted and sucked into a cycle of craving validation. The "80/20" doesn't even exist outside of apps i.e. the real world.

Plus there are a ton of profiles are either fake or bots so that will skew your perception of things.

Dating apps are horrible and you'll find way more Narcissists than decent people. I'm speaking from experience as the last time I found someone online he ended up being very abusive. It's better to try to meet women in other ways, like through mutual friends, family, etc. Maybe go and take some classes on something you have an interest in (like painting, basket weaving, writing, etc) and just mingle and make friends to start.

for starters dating apps are probably the worst way for a guy to meet a girl - outside do the fact that 8/10 users are male, we have two separate dynamics going on

1) women have unlimited options so they (naturally) go for the best - and since dating apps are shallow by nature, shallow qualities stand out first

2) guys are much much more limited, so they’ll settle for someone well below their standards because they think that’s all they have

avoid these apps, stop using them - frankly, if most guys got off them it’d do wonders for dating as a whole - i’d also argue that gender relations, dating as a concept and mental health as a whole have all gotten worse with dating apps - so honestly, dump the apps - they hardly do anyone good
