Noooo, get out of the feels girl! Cry it out, write in your journal, read FDS. That’s what I do.
I had to drive thru my Ex’s neighborhood tonight after a couple of months and it got me so down I had to go home and read the list. I keep a list of all the wretched things that bastard did to me, and I read it when I get in my feels about him. Helps a lot.

I have a list that I started when we first broke up categorized into “the good/the bad”. The “bad” already outweighed the “good” and after revisiting it this morning I just erased the “good” and found more to add to the “bad” 🙃

Not just guys you date either! Male relatives made me feel like I would be difficult to love from a young age because I was too clever, too talkative, too dynamic and for some reason a chatty, articulate 5 year old made them feel bad about themselves. That set the tone for a lot of the crappy treatment I put up with from the boyfriends that came later but a lot of self help books and FDS later, I know there's nothing wrong with me and that those are the reasons to love me not the reasons no one could.

I never swear, I never scream and I'm never physically of verbally violent. I just don't take shit and will tell you so without hesitation.
My ex who is a Captain in the airforce and who was deployed multiple times legit tried to pull the 'You scare me sometimes' off with me when asked why he lied about being an emotionally unfaithful douchebag.
Dude, if you're that easily scared you probably shouldn't have this job. When he realized himself how ridiculous it sounded, he then tried to proceed with the 'I didn't want to hurt your feelings because it doesn't mean anything'.
They just try whatever works for them. They know it's a lie. Never tolerate any bullshit and don't stay silent even if you just smelled a whiff of it.
