Does anyone else dislike beards?

They’re disgusting and dirty and I assume any guy that has one is either hiding a weak jawline or his second chin. A woman on here called them chin wigs and that’s literally the best description for them I’ve ever heard.

If taken care of and trimmed I think they’re sexy. Those long wispy gandalf beards tho? Ew. Just. Ew. I would never go out with someone with a beard like that or JUST a mustache. Like, One time I thought this guy was joking about his mustache. In the picture that he had on tinder it was a really large fucking mustache, like it went out at least 1.5 inches from his face. So of course I just figured that it was fake but then he sent me a photo and there it was. The monstrosity. I gave him an ultimatum that he could either shave it and we could continue on or he could just lose my number. He begged me to reconsider and I blocked him. While I think beards can be sexy if well groomed, I HATE mustaches. Yuuuck.

When I see a guy with a beard I assume that he's either too lazy to shave, or he's trying to hide his ugly.

Me lol. I definitely prefer clean-shaven guys. I think it’s because I don’t like feeling the hair on my face whilst kissing, and also I can’t get past the fact that so many men use beards as a way to hide bad bone structure or as a way to try and compensate for their receding hairlines. There are definitely men who look good with beards, but I almost always think they look even better clean shaven.

Yes. And I've been told (by men!!) that if they're not groomed properly...well, I won't even say it, but basically, a LOT of unnecessary bacteria/dirt can accumulate in there quite quickly. Given its proximity to the mouth, that could just be bad.

I don't much find them attractive. I'm OK with a little stubble/5:00 shadow on a man I'm into every now and again, but maybe not all of the time. I'm very particular about shaving myself so I really don't think this is too much to ask. I've never really been attracted to men with beards either, so it wouldn't be like me asking them to shave it all off for me anyhow.

I can't stfu about how much I hate beards. It severely limits my dating pool. I can only tolerate a barely there beard that doesn't also look drawn on. I also hate goats and weird facial hair like mutton chops, chin straps, or soul patches. I am cool with a moustache if it is not bushy.

I loathe beards. I won't date a man with a beard. They've been a turnoff for me before I was old enough to know what a turnoff was, and I hate how trendy they are now.

In my opinion, the trend towards beards is simply a way for men to opt out of one of the very, very few societally imposed grooming standards that actually apply to men and not women. They get to be lazy about their grooming, while feeling smug and "manly".

I don't mind a short, fashionable scruff that's carefully trimmed and done for effect (no, your being too lazy to shave for three days doesn't count), but I prefer clean-shaven.

I also want men to maintain a quality haircut, and style it. They don't have to go full metrosexual, but I put money and effort into my appearance so that I can look good, and I want him to as well. Not to please me, but because they have the self-esteem and self-confidence to take care of themselves.

I love beards. Especially if they are big and well maintained. I definetly prefer it over a stubble. And it's cool cause its kinda like makeup for guys if they have acne scars or a not so strong jaw, it can make him look more attractive.

Absolutely no no. Most times I've seen men with beard hiding their child like face behind it ! Also they lose confidence after shaving ( they need to shave before our college vivas. It's mandatory)

I like a well maintained beard, scruffy is a no-go. Honestly as long as he’s attractive and well-groomed I don’t have a big preference on facial hair. (Note that I don’t consider hipster styles well-groomed)

Hate. Beards. The one exception was a man I dated years ago who had a beard at a time when hardly anybody had one. He had facial scarring that bothered him. Too bad he had a nice face shape and looked good with a beard and it was properly maintained.

By and large I dislike facial hair on men I have always preferred clean shaven

I prefer clean shaven. Beards just make a guy look dirty, unkempt and lazy. That is just something for a homeless bum, who can not afford to shave somewhere every day.

My ex made me hate beards. He became obsessed with growing one once we started dating and I didn’t mind at first. Except he would refuse to trim it and would let it scraggly. Like it would collect food bits and get in my mouth when we kissed. He saw his beard as an extension of his manhood which I told him was stupid. In hindsight he was very insecure and would get kinda homophobic trying to prove how manly he was. Ironically he refused to touch me unless I was freshly shaved from the neck down. I can’t stand beards now but I put up with it because so many men have them now.

I also mostly dislike beards BUT there are exceptions when men care and groom themselves. A clean good-looking beard can show that he cares about hygiene and bathroom habits. Most of them sadly just let it grow like weed.

I prefer a clean shaven man. It's the modern look.

If he has a beard he has to look good in it and it can't be scratchy in texture because that doesn't feel good during cunnilingus. I know some guys only grow their beard in colder climates. Besides all that beards do have an intrinictly male appeal as it's something that males grow when they mature.

I personally don't care if a guy doesn't have a certain facial structure, like a prominent chin. I know there are evolutionary and biological benefits to having the right skull form but I'm not reproducing and even enjoy different facial constructions.

I immediately assumed that it has food crumbs or residue or grease in it, and I also immediately assume he must have a bad jawline or receded chin. personally, I think I may have been rejected by multiple guys in the past because I have a really defined although not masculine lower face. Lol. Like they can't be seen with a woman with a better jawline and chin as it makes theirs more clear. And then they date a woman with a hyperfeminine face (shorter face, softer chin, rounded, wide features like Miranda Kerr). So they don't have to compete 😂😂
