This is what finally snapped me out of my anxiety over ending things with my ex (and future guys), I realized finally after years of ex’s creeping back into my life randomly that men never let go. They think that once you’re “theirs” then you’re “theirs” for life, which is why they don’t give a shit about closure, because in their minds it’s not over.
I told one of my girlfriends who is still “friends” with her abusive ex, that she should block him, and she responded that he still asks her advice from time to time and she doesn’t want to be rude like that. So I asked her, “how many other girls do you think he spams those same questions to?” and she got mad lol

Oh boy. Right now I have a guy who halfheartedly pretended to date me a few years ago ‘liking’ every post I make on social media and texting me every day even if I don’t respond. It’s hilarious because it’s a complete role reversal (god I was so stupid back then). They only want what they can’t have. Truly amazing.

We were together 3 years and engaged, when I ended things I had no further contact with him except about a car loan that was in both of our names that he was late on constantly. He put me through the ringer and used my credit cards often and I had to pay it all off myself but I knew it was worth it to be away from him. I never looked at his social media a single time until my friend asked me how I felt about how fast he moved on. I had no idea what she was even talking about and when she showed me his Facebook he had been in a relationship with someone since the month after we broke up and moved her in immediately with his kids. I didn’t even care, I knew I was better off and was so exceedingly happy to be away from him.
Then a couple days ago he requested to follow my private Instagram, I let him follow me but did not return the favor. He views every story I post. Then he texted me yesterday and I ignored it, then again today and tells me had finally unblocked me, like I was supposed to be thankful about that?

The day he totaled the car that was in my name and I knew insurance was paying for it I CRIED IN RELIEF because he NEVER had an excuse to talk to me again.
