Oh this was my entire relationship with my ex-husband. Everyone knew but me. I had suspicions but could never get any concrete proof because everyone was covering his ass for him. I no longer talk to anyone who was involved in that mess.

So sorry you went through that!
It’s actually so common that cheaters can be so smooth about it. You don’t even necessarily see the obvious signs like them following half naked girls on SM, or that they aren’t contactable - sometimes they never say sleazy things, and message you all the time throughout the day and night so you assume they wouldn’t be... but you just know something is up. Your gut knows.

I think it’s so disgusting when women brag about a taken man sliding in their dms. “He’s supposed to be the loyal one, not me.” As if morals mean nothing.
[–]Doodoodoodoo12132 points133 points134 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That behavior is the ultimate pickme mentality. How insecure do you have to be that it’s anything other than insulting and disgusting for some scrote to try and cheat with you?

The thing that bothers me about that is that teenagers don’t know anything - they just pick up on social cues and media/peer influences and act how they think they will be perceived as “cool” and “accepted”. Unfortunately what is cool now is being a mistress, stripping, prostitution, casual sex, OnlyFans, and cam girls.
Conveniently everything that is centered around sex is “good” and anything involving emotions or deeper relationships is “bad.” I see thirty year olds agree to continual hook ups but they are scared to say the word “date.” Ridiculous!
I try to uplift women as much as possible too. Honestly just as we don’t engage with scrotes I do the same with sex positive “liberal feminists”. You can talk until you run out of breath but they still won’t listen to you 🤦🏻♀️

I have a friend (who’s more of an acquaintance now), who proudly told me that one of her BF’s husband one drunken party “asked her to be his lover”. This scrote is revolting looking, his face is all puffed up from drinking (he’s a functioning alcoholic though), he is an embarrassment and can never add anything intelligent to the conversation. His wife looks like a model and is always cheerful and friendly and could do so much better. My so-called friend did not tell this woman about the conversation, and told me I was delusional if I thought that there are any long-term married couples who don’t cheat. Mind you, she has had many married lovers, or those who were in a relationship, and says that it’s not her problem what goes on in the guy’s relationship. Yet, at the same time she’d always bash the wife or the girlfriend, without even having met her, so that means that she secretly hopes to be picked. This and similar other reasons are why I’m only maintaining a very superficial relationship with her now.

I've heard that men with a wedding ring get hit on a lot more than without one
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
To be fair, this goes both ways. When I am in a relationship I get way more men hitting on me and asking me out than when I am single. It happens at the most random times too, and they don’t know at first when they talk to me that I am taken, but something about being in a relationship just naturally attracts more people toward you.
When I am single it is like a desert 🤣

Girl, in time and with leveling up, you’ll learn that worrying about other’s people’s opinions is a waste of time. You can’t do anything to change how they feel, so focus on something you CAN control : yourself.

You have nothing to be ashamed of. We can't monitor a guy 24/7.
[–]forevergirlfriend6FDS Newbie22 points23 points24 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He's the one that should feel ashamed, not you. You were loving a man despite him being unlovable, which says so many great things about you ❤ Learn from the experience and move on, don't ever think you have something to be ashamed of.

Every friend that “pitied” you has probably been in your same position at one time, whether they know it or not! So don’t be embarrassed. Also those people that pitied you for not knowing probably now secretly admire you for having the courage to dump his cheating ass! Focus on the victories as much as the negatives and celebrate yourself and your growth, sis!

It's not your fault. If your friends knew about it that reflects on them not you

This is why having good friends is important. HVW invest in strong female friendships.

Ohh, in my local mom group there are occasional posts with "should I tell my friend her husband is cheating with our other friend and everyone knows except her" and some ladies like "no, no, don't it willruin their marriageand your friendship" . I so fucken hate that! Like if you bitch new and didn't tell me I'd fucken eat your face for breakfast, that's will surely save our friendship 😡

If I found out that a close friend knew and covered him by not telling me, letting him get away with it, increasing my risk of disease and death, she’d be more fucking sorry than the dude.

Oh hell yeah I'd want to know. It's the pickmeishas that don't want to know or make excuses for their cheating men. We cannot continue to accept this.

Please tell the wife or girlfriend. Every. Single. Time.
Cheating is abuse. The wife is making decisions to her detriment that she would not make if she knew the truth: sleeping with him; putting property in joint names, paying for his education; doing more in the house because he says he’s working late.
Cheating goes hand in hand with financial abuse and risks to your health.

But thank God you never had children with that fucking demon.

The fact that this isn’t prosecutable everywhere in this day and age is an absolute disgrace.

I do as well. Some dude messaged me about how he had a dream about me and wouldn't it be nice to hang out since he was coming to my city soon. His girlfriend posted pictures of the date he took her on for her birthday not long after and I sent her screenshots immediately. I was just like "Thought you should see this" and she responded "thanks for letting me know". I felt bad for her but at the same time, I would have wanted this done for me.

I have a friend who told on a guy. She did not call the wife he was hiding. She called his parents house. Literally found them in the phonebook and had a nice chat with his mom about her son. The lady was actually lovely, definitely did not deserve that chunk of shit for a son. Wife found out too, he was actually exposed in a pretty big way from many sources because he just did too much to keep it contained.

My first relationship, set up by a mutual male (gay) friend in high school. He was freaking psycho lol, but anyways besides all of those issues, everyone apparently knew he was cheating on me towards the end (maybe he cheated the whole time) and no one bothered to tell me... like ... this is why I’m distant from everyone from HS and this area in general lol. People are morons (myself included)

Last year, I found out a girl I went to high school with blocked my ex all over social media and it made me question why she did that. My ex acted like he had noooo clue, I tried brushing it off but I only grew suspicious about it until I messaged her, only for her to tell me that she remembers him messaging her on Snapchat (I have no idea what he told her) & remembered blocking him everywhere for xyz reasons.
Yet...she couldn’t come to me the moment all of this was happening and I was posting pictures smiling like a dumb-dumb believing that things were fine and dandy in my relationship, while she knew & probably a couple other people knew about this too, but stayed quiet.

I was wrestling with this a few years ago. I had a crush on a guy and didn’t know he had a girlfriend. He revealed it to me when I was in his apartment but he kept trying to make out with me and have sex. We didn’t end up doing anything because I kept pushing him off and he even tried to keep going as I was literally trying to get myself out the door.
I had a Pick Me friend (thank God I don’t keep that low value, loser of a woman in my life anymore) who heavily advised me not to tell the girlfriend. That she didn’t need the pain, that she was going to hate me, etc. He may not have gotten anything out of me but I think he cheated on her with a mutual friend of theirs because he had that friend over one night and she left the next morning.
I’m now on social media looking for the girlfriend and wondering if they’re still together, are engaged, or got married.

I've always had what I call 'heterosexual shame'. I'm okay with seeing them alone, when no one sees us, but I always felt ashamed of being with them in public. Even if they look good. And I'm the type of person that doesn't care about people's opinions at all! But for some reason I never felt comfortabme with a boy in public. Thank god I don't date men anymore.
Luckily I knew with my ex husband but argh we couldn't go anywhere without his tongue hanging out when he saw a hot woman. Sometimes even 18 year olds. He'd tell me he wanted to have sex with them too. He would make rude comments to the women he worked with. I warned him that sometimes women may seem ok with it but actually be uncomfortable. He managed a month after I dumped him then got fired for sexual harassment. He'd gotten too drunk at a staff night out, spoke his mind and then blew 5k of our money down the strip club. I'd woken up to his mother calling me panicking that he hadn't come home. Incidentally he got his latest girlfriend by hitting on her at work so I'm sure he'll keep up with this strategy. He'd wanted us to be in an open relationship so I guess that saved face for me somewhat. But I hated it. I didn't make comments about other guys, because I'm not like that, but also because was so insecure he'd never have coped if I'd acted like he did

There are a lot of people who will blame the person who divulges the cheating, rather than the person who was cheating but I can say, if I had a friend who knew my guy was cheating, and never told me, I would be pissed that she kept it from me.

I recently caught a man cheating. He’s basically threatened me. I don’t know what to do.
