Sis, he sold you a false bill of goods. I've been in the exact same situation but with only one kid and left after two years. It won't improve. You can't change them. Even if he gets a stable job he will use that as a reason to still be lazy outside of those "hard, grueling eight hours a day".

I don’t want to shame but I will never understand why so many women accept this type of behavior. I see it waaaaay too often, even within my family and friend group. I don’t understand what type of malfunction you gave to have to let a man just take COMPLETE advantage of you, especially in scenarios like this, when you aren’t even dependent on them.
It could NEVER be me.

I had a man try it with me once. He sweet talked his way into me letting him move in. Less than three months later I kicked him out. He didn’t help clean anything and then had the audacity to not want to contribute to bills. I literally kicked him out at like 1am. He said he had no where to go and I told him that wasn’t my damn problem.
I couldn’t even last three months with a sorry ass man so I just don’t understand how people last years.

I feel for her to be so young and so burdened ☹️. One can’t fully figure someone out, people change, some are amazing deceivers, but I’ve noticed certain things that are good tells for what kind of long term prospect you’ve got on your hands. Key #1 and it seems to always be true: NEVER have children with a man who isn’t your husband. He promised her the world, but didn’t even marry her? That’s the red flag—where’s HIS commitment, HIS skin in the game? She’s supposed to potentially die giving birth to his progeny all for what...empty promises? He can’t even provide. That’s key #2: employment and job history. Is he gainfully employed and climbing? Does he keep jobs or get fired/quit? If it’s the latter, that’s a red flag—he’ll leave you and the kids on the hook and on your own financially. Why not just go to a sperm bank if that’s what it’s gonna be? If you’re doing all the providing, all the housework and cooking and childcare, you may as well just go pick out the sperm of a hot neuroscientist or something, aim for the best genes, not give birth for these scrubs. I hope more women stop giving birth for basic losers, it makes the women and children absolutely miserable in the end—she is stuck and they have a crap or nonexistent dad. No bueno

Um the oldest is 7 and she’s 23? Which means if he’s the father then a 20 year old impregnated a 16 or possibly 15 year old (accounting for pregnancy). This guy is sick and should be in jail

Edit: i read the post. She was 19 when they had their first child I assume. But he still was with her when she was 17 when he was 21. Still predatory and considered statutory rape in some states
