Is it unrealistic for me to not want to date a guy that has Instagram?

I don’t have Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for my own personal reasons, but I specifically avoid Instagram because as someone who has struggled with mybody image for years, I didn’t want the constant exposure of ‘perfect’ female bodies and the pressure to look like Instagram models.

This links to why I don’t want to date a man that uses Instagram. Expectations of what the female body should look like has been warped to extremes, where waists are getting smaller and smaller and breasts and hips are gargantuan.

To some, spotting photoshop is easy, but a lot of men and women see these images and think they’re real, which is damaging to both. I see comments or posts on r/instagramreality saying they’re boyfriend follows a certain model and has made comments about how he wants his girlfriend to look like that. I feel like it’s also no different to watching porn, as I doubt these men are following these models to appreciate their home decor.

Obviously there are exceptions to this, artists that promote their work and receive commissions via Instagram, for example. But I personally steer clear of men who use Instagram for recreational purposes, and all they follow are models with explicit photos.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.
